Charming hotel with helpful staff, gorgeous sauna facilities, and delicious breakfast
The hotel was charming, the breakfast delicious, the staff very helpful and the sauna facilities spectacular. It is not in the center of the village but it is conveniently located close to a bus stop.
The breakfast starts at 7:30 and the bus to go to the mountain goes by at 7:52. It is the only bus that one can take to be there for the opening of the mountain but we would need to rush through breakfast to make it. I would suggest to start breakfast at 7am to give more time to the guests to enjoy breakfast.

Perfect mountain retreat: amazing staff, great breakfast, spotless rooms & unforgettable sauna.
We had an amazing stay and this is honestly one of the best hotels we’ve stayed in recently. The location is absolutely stunning: a small mountain village in the Bad Gastein area, right at the edge of a gorge with a river and waterfall nearby — you can constantly hear the sound of water and nature, which feels incredibly relaxing. The view over the valley is breathtaking. The public transport stop is very close, and with the city tax you get free local transportation, which made getting to Bad Gastein, the ski lifts, and other places in the valley very convenient. The breakfast was excellent with a generous buffet and plenty of choice. The staff deserve special praise: always friendly, proactive, and genuinely helpful. We had an issue changing a restaurant reservation (we didn’t have a local phone number), and the receptionist called the restaurant in German and rescheduled everything for us within minutes — zero stress for us. Cleaning was perfect, everything was spotless. And the highlight for me was the sauna with access to an outdoor terrace — an unforgettable experience, especially in winter. I used it almost every day. A small extra detail we loved: the two resident cats 😊 They would often “escort” you to breakfast or hang around the kitchen area, curiously checking what you’re up to. They were very calm and well-behaved, never intrusive — just a sweet, cozy presence that added even more warmth to the whole stay. Overall, everything was outstanding and we’re already planning to come back for a longer stay.
Nothing major at all — the stay was excellent overall. The only small inconvenience was the motion-sensor light in the bathroom: it would sometimes switch off while taking a shower if you weren’t moving enough, so you had to wave a hand or move to trigger it again. We understand it’s for energy saving, but it was a bit uncomfortable at times. Aside from that, everything was great.

Lovely, cozy, boutique hotel in an excellent location and wonderful staff
This was the best hotel experience we’ve ever had! From the cozy atmosphere to the wonderfully helpful host to the beautiful views to wonderful breakfast, it was an excellent stay! The location in the village was ideal- low enough to have an unobstructed view of the valley below, but high enough go to be convenient to the upper part of the village. The common are was decorated beautifully, with cozy furniture, lighting and decor. The views from the floor to ceiling windows was spectacular. Family games were included on the tables which added to the family-friendly feel. The space was also perfect for an adult gathering, with soft music and a lounge-like atmosphere If we had stayed longer, we could have taken advantage of the gorgeous sauna with Mountain View’s, the weight room and making a meal with all the kitchen necessities including oils and spices of every variety. Breakfast was delightful, with very nice options. Eggs, meats, cheeses, fruits, muesli ,coffee, warm milk machine, fruits, vegetables, breads, spreads, etc all beautifully displayed. The hotel was maintained meticulously- For those with children, there is a playroom full of fun toys to enjoy. Our host provided wonderful personal attention and helped us plan a great hike tailored to our time and weather constraints. We hope to visit this lovely town and hotel during ski season

Location is very good, just a few minutes walk to waterfall, great breakfast! Parking for my motorcycle was at the entrance to hotel...

Beautiful location, lots of leg work.
Great views from rear balconies. Sounds of rushing water from the falls tumbling through town. Rooms are very comfortable and old building is very nicely re-done. Nice breakfast, and there is a bike storage room.
Not really dis-likes, but need to know. If you cycle there, it’s a longish, steep climb. Also, walking into town is steep in places. No elevator, and lots of stairs to manage with your „stuff“.

Great Views, generous amenties and luxurious, friendly accommodation
We were fortunate to arrive very early in the season - very few other people there the one night we stayed. We had the chic, cozy lounge area all to ourselves as we finished drinking a bottle of wine. Outside the huge windows there, we could see how the clouds, mist and light changed by the minute across the valley and mountain tops. An outstanding view - complete with the relaxing sound of water rushing below as we slept. This made for a very pleasant sleeping experience, on top of the comfortable bedding. Breakfast was generous, delicious and full of variety! We appreciated the cleanliness and orderliness of the setup. Finally, we enjoyed getting to know Reni (I hope I spelled his name correctly), the owner and visionary for this relaxed yet impressive property. Great attention paid to detail and to all of our communications throughout our stay.
The lights in the bathroom were a little too dim for me.

Loved the quiet location on the promenade with great views and real boutique feeling.
The sauna is amazing with great views, and the kitchen that can be used for cooking dinners is definitely a highlight.
