Very well equipped, lovely location set in beautiful peaceful scenery. Can walk to a shop and a beautiful sandy beach. Not immediately obvious how to walk down to the beach, but if you turn left out of the property until you get to a footpath sign, you'll see a stone wall and path leading down to the beach- Approx. 20 min walk to beach.
Tesco delivery slots book up very fast, but we managed to get a click and collect from Durness which was great! We also had a nice meal out at the Tongue Hotel only a short drive away.
Nice secure garden.
I won't spoil the surprise but we really appreciated the gift that was left for us, thank you!
Was fine for us but probably not suitable for very small children or elderly due to the steep stairs. We had to carry our elderly dog up and down them, and my Husband slipped and fell down the last few.
The sofa could do with replacing, and I couldn't find oven gloves. The extractor fan in bathroom was rather loud.
Radiator in kitchen worked well, others not so much. We struggled to get the logs to light in the sitting room log burner, not sure if that was our firelighting skills or the logs, although we do manage to use our own log burner at home.

Lovely comfortable property, warm & cosy. Stunning view and easy access to the beach.
We had a really windy night during our stay and the bathroom was quite draughty

This is the second year in a row that we come here. It’s a lovely, comfortable home, with all amenities and a fireplace. The wine and biscuits were a nice touch. The location and views are stunning. And there’s an amazing beach a few minutes away on foot. We will come back!

Stunning location, we chose this property as a stopover on our way home from Orkney but it turned out so much more. Stonehaven was a beautiful place and we had a lovely few days to end our Highland and Island adventure. The property was stunning, well equipped and the views were spectacular.
The only thing we would have changed was the downstairs bathroom, it was a long way in the dark in the middle of the night
