Excellent stay with no issues, nice chalet in a great location

Location was good - Trewent Park is quiet and everyone is friendly. Adjacent to Freshwater East beach which is outstanding, and very close to Coast path. Chalet well appointed, everything you would ever need has been provided by the hosts. Very comfy beds

Chalet could have been cleaner - floor and work surfaces were not cleaned. Shower was blocked but was easy to resolve with a plunger which was already in the chalet.

Stay somewhere else for you own peace of mind!

The location.

Poor and rude communication with the property owners-especially when basic facilities did not meet the needs; we were left with no other choice other than to report the concerns to booking.com themselves. Wifi connection was not available until 48hours plus later and only because we pushed and contacted consistently until a ‘friend’ of theirs who was nearby came to drop off another router…48hours later!! The ‘new’ shower did not have constant hot water it was either freezing cold or scalding hot! Every ten seconds it did this! We were without adequate hot water for 72hours until finally after they contacted and called yet another ‘friend’ of theirs, the friend came to ‘check the shower’ and stated due to some Technical issues there was a ‘knack’ of how to use the shower-NOT mentioned in the new manual at all or QA’d by the property owners. The above experience with the property managers was poor. We are seeking compensation. The place itself was lovely and presented well- shame about the customer service. There was not one apology given instead excuses and refusal to answer any calls!

Nice stay but silly things let it down

Although the property was lovely, clean, good location and all the things you could ever want, but unfortunately there were some issues that spoiled our trip and stay. The water had very low pressure, no or very little hot water and the shower stopped working after the first day. The owner came and turned up the water pressure which had been turned down, and they offered us the use of another shower in another property but we were not comfortable with this so no shower or hot water for 3 days. There is no connection to the outside world whilst in the property. No internet or phone signal. This also added to our frustration. The owner was nice and helped the best she could but these things should have been checked before accepting guests.

It had an overpowering smell of curry and spices for the first 2/3 days, and cobwebs behind the head board in main bedroom! ( Arachnophobia )

Perfect family holiday, we had a fantastic time (despite the weather)!

Path up to house from the car park would potentially be an issue with limited mobility, but wasn't a problem for us. Local amenities are a short drive away although there is a restaurant/bar on site.

Great location, easy parking. Modern decor.

Good location, quiet, easy to park, right outside. Clean and nice modern decor. Well equipped, a bonus of a little freezer, which we weren't expecting.

I appreciate we went high season, but it was quite pricey for the accommodation on the holiday park. Would've been better value if there had been 4 of us staying (although it would be pretty cosy with 4 adults).

Great stay, nice quality accomodation, highly recommend, but main bed is very low.

Liked the decoration, the fact we could check in later and collect key from lock box. Appliances were a bonus (fridge, freezer (under stairs cupboard), washing machine, dishwasher). Nice views and close to beach. Oven top tip: Press and hold button for 3 seconds. Hubby didn't and thought the oven didn't work, until I mentioned it may be a child safety feature to hold the button longer. It worked after pressing and holding. Liked the seating area with BBQ outside, but we didn't use the BBQ. Liked the fact the accomodation was non-smoking. Nice relaxing holiday. Property managers are brilliant, it felt like a home from home. We've mentioned the low bed, as someone with mobility issues (knee or hip will struggle trying to rise from the main bed). We would stay here again. Definately lovely.

Main bed (whilst modern) was very low to the ground. If you have knee issues or hip issues then you would find it hard to get up from the bed unassisted. We had to rise from a low position, as our knees were higher than our pelvis when sitting on the edge of the bed with our feet on the floor. We are both average height.

Right by the beautiful beach - great location!

We were able to get into the property early which was great and Saskia responded quickly to my texts.

Only thing that confused us was having no coNtrol for one of the bedroom heaters even though the manual said there was one. It wasn’t a problem however as the property not very cold and there was a useful spare fan heater we could use.

Superb

An absolute delightful chalet yards from sea front. Lovely location on home park with aerial views across countryside and some sea views too.. Accessible via steps or ramp if you have mobility issues. Modern, stylish, ight and airy. Fully equipped. Comfortable beds. Everything you require for a short break or long break. Essentially home from home. Local supermarkets a short distance away (minutes) to replenish or stock up.on food and beverages.

the heaters were a bit confusing to put on but once on did heat the rooms well. may be thicker duvets in the twin room as had to use two on one bed

Great holiday in a beautifully scenic area, amazingly convenient for coastal walking - recommending

Overall we had a very pleasant experience, especially since Trewent Park seemed very quiet and mostly unoccupied. The chalet was very clean, nicely furnished and well-equipped. I’d politely describe it as ‘bijou’ but 4 guests would make it very cramped. However I guess it’s size was reflected in the price which we felt represented good value compared to other Welsh properties. The owner was helpful, easily contacted and responded quickly.

For us there were some minor niggles which detracted from the overall good experience. The kitchen was so well equipped (apart from mugs) that there was no cupboard space available for our food. The lighting in the living/dining room was an appalling orange glow which was impossible for us as we wanted to see to do jigsaws, crafts, & read. (Conversely the bedroom light was unnecessarily white & bright!) Disappointingly there was nowhere in the shower cubicle to put gel/shampoo, etc though the vanity unit did provide lots of other useful storage space. Unfortunately the large bed was fitted with a small mattress protector which rucked up and came off every night, requiring a full bed-making session every morning

Superb, well equipped house. Couldn’t fault it.

It’s in a great area, 5 minutes walk from the beach. Pub on site too. The house is clean, well equipped, cosy and comfy. The decor is bright and modern. The shower pressure was lovely and the water nice and hot. The bed was so cosy and comfy. The kitchen has everything you need. Lots of information provided about the area. DVDs and Google speaker, TV all worked well and entertained us on cold damp days. The oven and hob are new and very efficient, cooked dinner one night and breakfast most days. Overall a superb place to stay. we will definitely be back!

Very small second room with little space. Ok if kids were in the single beds, but had 2 adults in this room. Beds very small in width and length. Could hear everything if someone got up to the bathroom.
