MENTON, centre historique, vue mer

Menton is the best town on the French riviera & one of the least crowded & this apartment is pretty much in the best location in town, right in one of the old town streets, close to the Cathedral & the famous yellow steps & with an unbeatable view. We like the fact that the host has done their best to try & think of everything you could need for your stay, it was something we really appreciated. This would definitely be our first choice if we return to Menton.

Small thing but as the bedroom is a loft with low ceiling, maybe not good if you have a bad back, the upside is the bed was nice & comfortable.

Franck and Christelle were probably the best vacation rental hosts I have encountered to date. They provide excellent instructions on how to get to the apartment (which is up steps and winding lanes in the old town) and also they provide detailed instructions inside the apartment -- turning on the AC, locking the door, how to work the television, where the trash cans are located, how to use the espresso machine, etc. They provide many wonderful home touches as well -- a bottle of wine and water in the refrigerator, coffee pods, little madeleines, crackers, tea, biscuits, jam. That would really mean a lot for someone arriving late at night. I had a few questions and an issue with the washer, and Franck was prompt and responsive. They live a few doors down the lane so he just popped over to help.

The selling point for the apartment is the location in the old town and the stunning view. Other reviewers mentioned - so I was forewarned -- but it can be a tiring climb up to apartment. It really would not have been an issue, except that I visited during an intense heat wave, so I was always a sweaty mess by the time I was back home up the climb. Thank goodness the apartment has AC! But as I said the old historic quarter is charming and you can't beat the view -- so just go into training before your stay! And there is also one final climb each night -- up the steps to the loft to the bed.

Prieš atvykstant labai patiko komunikacija su Franck (šeimininku). Buvo išsamiai pateikta visa informacija: kaip rasti, ką aplankyti, ką pamatyti, kur pasibūti. Buvo paankstintas atvykimo laikas. Atvykus laukė staigmenos šaldytuve. :) Buvo kondicionierius ir vėjeliai. Virtuvė buvo pilnai sukomplektuota.

Appartamento stupendo con una bellissima vista super luminoso. Posizione super centrale Ci hanno lasciato frutta, vino, acqua e snack dolci per colazione. Gentilissimi e molto precisi nello spiegare come arrivare all'appartamento
