A true gem along the coast of Lake Erie in Madison, Ohio, LakePointe Shores Cottage #1 boasts a completely renovated 4 bedroom, 2 full bathroom open concept living space with fully equipped kitchen, 2 dining and 3 seating areas, in-unit laundry and linen service. All rooms are furnished with queen-size beds. A large back patio has 10 Adirondack chairs and a charcoal grill, perfect for dining al fresco, enjoying your morning coffee or evening cocktail while watching the tranquil beauty of Lake Erie.

Our 5 acre property is a serene park-like setting capped off with over 200 feet of private beach. Perfectly situated in Lake County, LakePointe Shores is minutes from Geneva-on-the-Lake, the Geneva State Park and Marina, the beautiful vineyards and wineries of the Grand River Valley region and Erie Shores Golf Course is our backyard. An abundance of local produce stands and farms and a short drive to several grocery stores makes shopping for your beach getaway an Erie breeze.

We enjoyed the lake front views and fire pit. You share the water access with other cabins. There was a little wood there for us to enjoy. It was much dirtier than expected. Bugs and leaky ant traps everywhere. I had to mop the floors to make it walkable- so slimy! It was a nice distance from Geneva-on-the-Lake downtown and local wineries.

This was an amazing property in a very quiet neighborhood right on Lake Erie…we absolutely loved it! The cabin was exactly as described, beautifully furnished with everything we needed. The view onto the lake was spectacular…right in front yard! We watched both the eclipse and an amazing thunderstorm move in from our little pier and living room. Owners were very communicative and responsive. Couldn’t recommend this place any higher!

The caretaker and owner were very nice and very responsive to questions and issues. The property was about 10 minutes from GOTL. The beds were comfortable, Newer appliances, 2 Picnic tables outside. The kitchen had high tables/stools, no traditional kitchen table which made it hard to have a place to play games. It would be nice to have more lighting in the seating area. The 5 acre property has 10 houses on it who all have access to the water by walking beside your house. Darker blinds on the bedroom windows would be nice. An instruction book for the property would be helpful as well as an outdoor garbage can. We had to walk to the end of the property to a dumpster. The address for the property is Hearn Dr. Not having this information made us question whether we were at the correct place. Overall, a great stay and would highly recommend.

The place is in a great location! Darlene responded quickly with questions and to attend to matters. Really really appreciated it! My family from out of town and I had a wonderful time and made my birthday celebration memorable. Definitely a place to stay again!

All in all, an excellent week. Cell service (Verizon) was abysmal but the Wi-Fi helped cover that. The host was quick to respond to inquiries, the on-site caretaker was very friendly and informative about the area. There was not a lot of information available in the house (no info about local attractions) so we muddled our way through with Google Maps and Yelp. The entrance was hard to find (Google maps will take you right past it) and there was some construction noise due to work on other houses on the property. Would happily stay again.
