Modern & Cozy Fishtown Home - Private Parking

We loved staying in this property. Communication with the owner was quick and easy. I appreciate that he got back to me even when he was on vacation. Parking was surprisingly easy to find. Found some really cool coffee and dinner spots within walking distance. Grocery outlet was walking distance as well. Our only setback was the lack of closet space, not everyone needs a spot to hang their clothes in general, but we had a convention to attend at the Liacouras Center and only one room had closet space to hang our dresses and suits. Other than that, we would definitely recommend a stay here.

It was a nice place to stay. The house was definitely accommodating. We would definitely stay here. The neighborhood is a bit sketchy but we took our evening/night walks with no worries.

We were six Canadians visiting Philly for the Eagles/Titans game - a Fri to Mon adventure. The property was exactly as described, located in an up-and-coming neighbourhood. Luke, our host, was AMAZING! There were a few small things missing from the property, and when we mentioned them, they arrived by the next day. He also gave us great tips on where to go in the neighbourhood (and the areas to stay away from too). The beds were super comfy, the house was clean, and parking wasn’t a problem. Highly recommend Luke’s place if you’re making your way to Philly! Thanks Luke - you were a great host!! :)

This was our first time staying in this area of Philly. Our normal VRBO wasn't available so we decided to give this place a try. Neighborhood seems pretty safe, but there was more trash in this area than most other areas we've visited. I'm not even sure why trash cans are provided because it seems like everyone just disposes of everything out their front door. We ended up having to message our host on the day we were scheduled to arrive because we weren't provided check-in instructions. He replied in a timely manner but also let us know that they were out of hand soap and paper towels which he advised us to pick up. He also let us know he would be unavailable during our stay because he would be going on a camping trip. Our initial walk though seemed ok. No where close to the cleanest place we've stayed at, but nothing that was going to make us leave either. Just not very much attention to detail - dried food on dishes, bathroom fans covered in a thick layer of dust, etc. Towels are provided but they're pretty work out and dingy. Kitchen is equipped with very cheap and limited cookware and appliances. Overall, we just really don't feel like we got the value out of our stay that we paid for. There are definitely better options in the area in the same price range.
