About Lulu and Tim Blodgett
Lulu was born and raised in Chihuahua, Chihuahua Mexico. Tim was born and raised in Michigan and served in the Army from 91 to 99. Lulu is a Realtor licensed in Texas and New Mexico., while Tim is a Project Manager for the Department of Veterans Affairs. We both love to travel. Lulu while growing up did much of her travel with her family in Mexico and South West USA. Tim traveled throughout Northern Michigan with his Grandparents and Mother. Tim's Grandpa owned an old late 1800s Log one room cabin and remembers the family vacations. Lulu's Father had always wanted to build a cabin just outside of Chihuahua, Lulu’s home town and planned to call it the “El Chalet “. So, in 2020 Lulu and Tim started our search for our own El Chalet and closed on this wonderful home in January 2021 and quickly named it “The El Chalet” in honor of her father.

EXCELLENT!! I loved this house! It had everything we needed to spend a memorable Navidad as a family after a rough year. Lulu and Tim have their beautiful home equiped with absolutely everything you need for a cozy stay. The bed(s) are comfortable, bathrooms and patio are excellent. Location is incredible, is closed to all the places we visited. Thanks Lulu and Tim for a wonderful weekend at the Hollywood! We will definitely be back, Cintia and Familia!

We enjoyed our 13 day stay at El Chalet! The property was very clean and extremely well appointed with everything you would possibly need for a long stay. As former beach rental owners, we appreciated all the things that were available. The bedding was very comfortable and we loved just sitting on the front porch enjoying much needed cool breezes. While there is traffic and some commotion in plain site, it was more than compensated by being so close to town and to SR 70 for easy day trips to Ruidoso Downs, Lincoln, Cloudcroft, and White Sands National Park. We also got the benefit of having both near town location and National Forrest wildlife! We sat on the porch and observed a bull elk and family, mule dear, and a herd (at least 20) of wild horses, including stags, mares and foals. They visited us in the front yard on 3 occasions. Watching the hummingbirds was also enjoyable. All in all, very relaxing for us heat refugees! We met Tim who responded promptly to our concern about the shower in the newly nicely remodeled bathroom and a minor problem with a defective cable box. He mentioned plans to construct a patio in the backyard which would make sitting in the backyard more enjoyable. Tim also explained that by city code, lawns are left high to prevent dried brush from catching fire. That is sensible fire protection. However, it was fairly long when we arrived and we had several days of passing showers that made the lawn grow even higher. An unintended consequence of that is that the horses come through and eat the grass then make large deposits which then draws flies! Maybe there's a middle ground (or grass height?). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank You Lulu and Tim! P.S. Thanks for being pet-friendly! Also, thanks for being flexible to our schedule adjustment request!
