centrally positioned, easy check-in, comfortable bed

the TV set didn't connect with our iphones or ipad despite following the instructions, which meant no streaming tv for us, so we endedup watching movies on our ipad. also the sound insulation of the windows is not good enough to stop the night rubbish collection noise and rowdy crowds screaming in the alley and surrounding streets

Convenience to the train station. Room is small, but ample size for 2 people with their luggage etc. Bed super comfortable and blinds keep everything dark :)

I did ask for interconnecting rooms, and didn't get this - which was a shame - but obviously understand may not be possible with busy periods etc.

The room was adequate and clean. The hotel was in a good location and adjacent to Southern Cross Station and tram services. We had limited contact with staff but most appeared friendly and cooperative. Check-in staff were obviously under a heavy work load.

The check-in process was ridiculously slow and could easily be improved. At the time we arrived, a queue extended outside the entry door onto to street. Two staff were tasked with processing around 30-40 guests. The queue was processed at a snails pace - leading to guests squabbling amid accusations of queue jumping. Not a nice experience after a long flight. How hard would it be to reassign extra staff for peak periods or alternatively streamline your check -in process as other modern hotels have done. The room assigned to us faced an adjoining high rise building and not what we expected. Its window faced onto an adjoining high rise building and offered a very bleak outlook. Curtains had to be at least partially drawn for most of the time. If this was communicated at time of purchase we may chosen an upgrade or alternatively not have proceeded with the purchase. The hotel offered a buffet breakfast but we discovered better options else for our needs and preferences.
