Wonderful place to stay in Granville

Great location. Room comfortable and very clean. Loved having a bathtub. Breakfast was very good. Host and wife very pleasant and patient with my limited French.

Finding parking was a challenge for there were weddings and events around the area so had to park alittle far away. Stairs to room very narrow so wouldn’t bring a big suitcase but wasn’t problem for us

Wow!This was an unforgettable stay. Beautiful room in a traditional French house, great ambience and a great host who prepared an excellent breakfast for me. I would love to come back sometime in the future. This is definitely the best place to stay in Granville!

It was an absolutely fantastic stay. Frederic could not have tried harder to make it a wonderful time. He even made sure we had breakfast when we had to leave at 6am on the last day. I can’t recommend it enough.

Great old town charm in good location with fantastic hosts

lovely old town charm. quiet. charming breakfast room. great bar nearby. most of all the owner was a star. he collected us from the train station and booked restaurants for us - we always had the best table! he really was exceptional

nothing. stairs are steep spiral but we managed fine and it added to the charm

We loved our stay at Frederic's house. We couldn't have asked for a better place while visiting Granville. The property is a beautiful historic building right in the centre of Granville, with shops and cafes at your doorstep. Our room was big and comfortable. Frederic and his wife are incredibly welcoming, not to mention the delicious breakfast they prepared for us during our stay. I can not recommend La Maison des Matignon enough. We loved it, and it made our holiday even more memorable. Merci! Elodie

Just perfect

Ideally located in the city, you can walk everywhere. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. The owners are lovely and very helpful. I highly recommend it.

Les photos personnelles dans la chambre. Je regrette un manque de cafetière dans la chambre, même si je comprends quand on a de la moquette blanche.

Es hätte nicht schöner sein können.

Uns hat alles gefallen: die Herzlichkeit und Gastfreundschaft des Gastgebers, das liebevolle und hervorragende Frühstück (es gab sogar selbst gemachten Milchreis mit Zimt & frischem Obstsalat), die Lage in der Oberstadt, das schöne Zimmer und die Nähe zur Unterstadt mit zahlreichen Restaurants und Cafés. Zudem gibt einen kostenlosen Parkpatz in fußläufiger Entfernung von 6-8 Minuten.

Excellentissime!

Nous sommes venu pour un week-end à vélo autour et dans Granville pour découvrir la ville et ses alentours. Nous avons énormément apprécié l'endroit et le lieu de séjour, la Maison de Matignon très bien placée en centre de la Haute ville. La chambre est très confortable et très grande; le lieu bien que animé en journée est très calme pendant la nuit. Les hôtes sont très sympathiques et accueillants, nous avons particulièrement apprécié les discussions lors du petit-déjeuner excellent avec beaucoup de choix et des produits fait maison!! un régal ; nous avons adoré et recommandons les yeux fermés!!

Très bon accueil de l'hôte des lieux : très bon contact, bons conseils touristiques, etc. Très bonne localisation dans la ville haute, calme et proche du cap Lihou. Très bon petit déjeuner.

Sehr schöne Lage mitten in der Oberstadt von Granville am Platz mit dem angesagten Café Rafale und einem guten Lokal. Historisches Flair, ich musste die normannische und monegassische Fahne täglich entwirren, die an die historische Rolle des Hauses erinnern.

Große Enge im Treppenhaus, so ists halt in historischen Häusern.
