Useful stopover accommodation
Close to Euro tunnel. Only used as a stopover but would be nice to spend more time in the area during the summer
The entrance to the accommodation was completely in the dark. It would have been helpful for the light to have been left on for arrival.

Cosy apartment, great for visiting coastal towns.
Marquise itself was very quiet and nothing much was open, maybe it was the time of year (April)?! It was close to a lot of beautiful beach towns which were around 15 to 20 minutes eg Wissant and Ambleteuse. There are supermarkets close by (Lidl, Aldi, Carrefour) which was ideal for us as we ate in. We would stay here again in the future.
There wasn't a wardrobe to put our clothes so we lived out of our suitcases which wasn't ideal.

Charming and quiet
The appartment is beautifully decorated and feels comfortable and also welcoming after a whole day on the road. Getting the keys was easy. The host communicated with us regularly and messages were answered quickly, so we knew where to find the keys and where to park.
There's nothing we didn't like really... It would be good to have a streaming service as the TV was basic and the wifi a bit slow. Especially because we were there in winter and our chill out walk around the small village was rather quick. In summer we would have walked for longer and Netflix wouldn't have been as desirable.

Perfect location in a charming and comfortable converted attic workspace.
The village location was perfect for an overnight stopover on the way to the south of France. The decor was lovely and the comfortable accommodation suited us well. We loved the windows and the electronic shutters. The village is well equipped with a local boulangerie patisserie who also sell takeaway coffee. There is an Aldi, Intermarche and Lidl for essentials and a McDonald's for hungry late night arrivals.
The bird song was fabulous in the morning.
My back is problematic and prefers a medium to soft mattress and doesn't like firmer beds so I didn't sleep that well. However, my husband slept very well on the medium firm mattress. The bed wasn't uncomfortable at all, it just didn't suit my needs.
We found the WiFi easy to connect to, but the WiFi signal was constantly dropping out so we gave up with it. If the WiFi had been stable we'd have given 10/10.

A nice stop over location
Nice upstairs accommodation across the attic, roof part of the house. Well equipped with everything you need for a short or longer stay. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was clean too. The location on the main street makes it easy to find. The owner lives on site and is available to help you if required.
The steel staircase to the property could be difficult for an older person or for young children.
A small handwashing basin in the separate toilet would be an asset.

Great little location, with everything we needed
Great convenient location on route to Calais with parking. lovely and cool with the electric shutters keeping out the heat of the day. Electric fan was very much needed for the evening.
For the price it was great and would love to return.

A total disaster
The flat was uncomfortably cold at 18 degrees upon arrival. Despite notifying the hostess of the need for a warmer environment due to working all day in the flat, I found her solution encroaching because she has no decision about what temperature I can set the heating to.
There were extensive cleaning "rules" posted at the flat's entrance, requiring numerous tasks to be done before leaving. If these rules weren't adhered to, a subsequent cleaning fee was to be applied. This requirement was not mentioned in the original advertisement, which is unfair and inhospitable. So I contacted Booking and she was contacted by Booking afterwards.
Even though I had informed the hostess of my work schedule, she repeatedly interrupted a video call by knocking on my door - every time louder and louder. Upon confrontation, she insisted that I adhere to the cleaning rules when leaving, which she had sent via message after I had made a non-cancellable booking. (I never read the host messages after booking, why should I? I book a room at certain conditions, not looking for friendship)
The host family living below the flat was excessively noisy, making the living environment disruptive and unpeaceful.
The welcome folder was written entirely in French, with the exception of the "cleaning rules". This says it all and it was unprofessional and added to the unsatisfactory experience.
Lastly, it's evident that the flat is not cleaned by the hostess but left to the tenants. Considering the potential cleanliness standards of previous occupants, this is quite disconcerting. All these issues combined made the stay at this accommodation unenjoyable and not recommendable.
Edit: You are lying in your comment, and you know that. Shame on you. But luckily I got a lot of pictures and videos of the apartment when I left, as I knew you would make up a story. There was nothing dirty.

A comfortable appartment in lovely surroundings in the Pas-de-Calais
We stayed here for the second time. The atelier is a very comfortable appartment, everything you need is there. The bed is good, in spring you hear the birds singing in the garden. The host is there to help when needed but at the same time gives you all the privacy you need. Marquise has a nice restaurant and three big supermarkets. The surroundings are beautiful, it is a 20 minutes drive to the coast.

Lovely apartment close to Channel.Port for stopover but suitable for longer break as in centre of traditional French town. Spotless and warm. Comfortable bed. Good facilities to cook and near to.town and Supermarket. Excellent communication. Good private parking.

A very comfortable stay in a well equipped and spacious appartement.
This is a very comfortable and spacious appartement, well equipped en very quietly located even though it is very close to the centre of Marquise. we were there in spring and every morning we listened to the birds singing in the garden. the owner lives nearby but respects your privacy totally, she is there to help if needed.
Marquise is a small town but has four big supermarkets and a nice restaurant.
