About this house rental

It is an individual cottage ideal for families, just renovated, warm, it is located in the countryside with a superb view for miles around, there is no vis-à-vis and it is very well exposed to the sun, it is on a private plot of 1500 m2 at the end of a private avenue in a green environment.

The cottage is located in the heart of the village but it is set back from the street, so calm is there! located 2 km from an equestrian center and at the start of many hiking trails (pedestrian, VIT, equestrian). The beaches are 5 km away (Ambleteuse, Audresselles, Cap gris nez, Tardinghen, Wissant.

The cottage includes on the ground floor: a living room - living room with a fitted and equipped kitchen (fridge, oven, dishwasher, microwave ...), a bathroom with a walk-in shower, separate WC, and a storeroom (equipped with a washing machine); upstairs: 2 bedrooms, (namely: the staircase to go upstairs is a bit steep.)

For the little ones, there is a high chair, a cot, a bathtub and a changing table.

We were there with our two children (4 & 6 years old). What a wonderful cottage! Very clean and everything has been thought of. The beautiful garden is bordered by cow pastures. I don't know how many hours our children spent playing in the garden. You have to drive a short distance by car to the beach. If you are looking for some peace and quiet, this cottage is the right place for you. The owner is very kind. We can only recommend the cottage!

We spend one week in August at Lucy's place and we enjoyed it very much. We can highly recommend: lovely peaceful freestanding home great view over the French country side large garden and places to sit outside nicely furnished very clean near the coast, about 15 minutes by car supermarkets in Marquise, 5 minutes by car Lucy is very kind and helpful.

The cottage is absolutely charming-as are Lucie and her family. A spotless comfortable cottage, with a fully equipped kitchen, a utility with washing machine , and a beautiful bathroom and shower. Up the steep stairs to two great sized bedrooms, which were very comfortable indeed. Lucie had gone to the effort of putting up some beautiful and very tasteful Christmas decorations and lights, which really added to the ambiance. The view from the cottage is stunning, and you are not overlooked so we really felt that we were ‘getting away from it all’. A good size garden, which our dog enjoyed! Easy journeys to local towns, and beaches. A great vet on the edge of Marquise town ensuring an effortless return trip for our dog. On leaving the cottage, we were at the Eurotunnel check in within 15 minutes, yet had felt as if we were a million miles away from everything. A great find - one which we will definitely recommend and would not hesitate to return to.

We were met by the very pleasant and courteous Owner (Lucy) who welcomed us and spent time explaining the workings of the 'gadgets' (TV, Fire, Heaters, Dishwasher, etc..). Also, information on activities and attractions of the local area. The Gite was exactly as described and even better. The rooms were airy, bright and large. The furniture was practical and comfortable - homely - and not filled with old furniture from another house as is often found in these types of accommodation. We were not visited by Lucy during our stay except when she called to sort out the waste bins on Tuesday. (Some like 'fussy' owners, we do not.) Should we experience any problems, which we didn't, she left her contact number. The photographs in the advertisement show exactly what to expect - no tricky camera angles to enhance. The Gite is accessed via a private driveway and the area is quiet with no dangers from traffic. The view from the rear 'terrace' is even better than the pictures show. Open views across the fields and hills right up to the horizon. To flatter the place more might draw some questions of 'over-kill' of description. We will be recommending the Gite to our family and friends and, certainly, we will be returning and, I feel, more than once. Thank you Lucy (and Sebastion). Frank & Colette (UK)

Recently returned from a lovely holiday in this pretty, cosy and well appointed cottage. Clean and well equipped with a beautifully comfortable bed and in peaceful, private grounds with stunning views. Lucie very helpfully provides lots of information on local walks, activities and interest which we made good use of. Will hopefully be visiting again, thanks Lucie, you are a great host!

We have just spent a fantastic week in this lovely gite! The cottage is tastefully decorated and every detail has been chosen with great care. The beds are extremely comfortable, the kitchen is fully equipped and the bathroom has the most amazing shower. Lucie gave us such a lovely welcome and many tips of things to explore. We have 2 children and 2 dogs and as soon as we arrived, Lucie pulled out bags of toys. The garden is perfect for children (and dogs) to explore. There are outside toys, a swing set and great bushes and corners to explore. Bazinghen is a tranquil little village and you will need a car. The cottage is surrounded by fields and in the evenings all you hear are frogs, birds and pure nature. Boulogne-sur-Mer and its aquarium is only a short trip away and there are so many little villages and beaches to explore. The week has been an absolute bliss and this is not only due to the lovely weather and the surrounding but also hugely thanks to Lucie and her fantastic holiday cottage. Lucie, c'etait un vrai plaisir et un grand merci a vous !

Everything described in this page matches what we found. The pictures show exactly the lovely and nice decorated house where nothing is missing. Location is wonderful and excellent for a family. Quiet environment and lots of things to discover such as beaches, towns, monuments (some from WWII) or even a swimming pool/ice skating place. Markets and restaurants are recommended by the owner which by the way is really friendly and helpful. We went with a baby and even for him it was perfect with toys and a baby bed/bad available. We recommend this cottage 100%.

A pretty house, big enough for a family, well equipped. Everything available. Extra wide comfortable beds! Great views of the countryside, lovely scenery, cows all around! Extremely quiet! Een geweldig verblijf met een formidabel uitzicht. Zeer netjes en alles voorhanden. De eigenaars zijn super vriendelijk en behulpzaam zelfs dusdanig dat zij na een klein mankement in de badkamer dit binnen de 20 minuten kwamen oplossen. Verder allerlei wandelingen in de nabije omgeving. Spijtig dat we weer moesten vertrekken, de week is omgevlogen.

Das Häuschen liegt auf einer Anhöhe mit wunderbarem Ausblick auf die Landschaft. Es wurde sehr schön und raffiniert umgebaut, sodass alte Elemente beibehalten werden konnten. Die Ausstattung ist perfekt und wie beschrieben. Lucie hat uns herzlich willkommen und viele Informationen gegeben. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und kommen gerne wieder in das Haus in Bazinghen.
