Good value, clean, tastefully decorated, comfortable accommodation.

Clean and beautifully decorated. Nice shower with good water pressure. Convenient location near restaurants and for ease of access to free car park. Close to the beach and adequate space to spread out and relax. The young lady at the reception desk was very nice and helpful. She was patient and her English was also fantastic.

The large rocks in the parking lot were very tricky to walk on.

Overnight stay close to the ferry

Lovely top floor apartment, very well equipped, comfortable and clean. The host was very friendly and helpful. We loved the balcony. Very close to some really nice restaurants and bars, and a 10 minute downhill stroll to the sea. Very good for an overnight stay before catching an early ferry from Calais - it’s an easy 25-30 minute drive to the port. There is a small Carrefour Contact supermarket very close by - ideal for provisions if you don’t plan to eat out. That said, the food we saw being served in the restaurants looked exceptional and was good value. We will definitely stay here again.

Nothing wrong with the property at all. The seafront is a bit ‘tired’ - but we were only there for a stopover so didn’t bother us.

Hi. Just to inform you that I love the accommodation and it is beautifully convenient. Ambleteuse is lovely. However. The rooms have a very unpleasant smell, which was apparent from the first time I set foot in it!! If I were being awkward, I would ask to be put in another room.. But I have put my stuff in and don't want to move now. I am only here one night. But I felt I had to let you know, as you may think it is me and my dogs.. When it is not!!! But it does smell quite bad!! Regards Laurie French The linen charge was 10e...this ought not to be extra! I don't think I would stay again.

Nice stay

Spacious flat, with nice living area. kids loved the table tennis and gym equipment. Convenient location, just 5 mins from a perefct spot for rock pools, dunes and beach. Polite staff. Nice to have the chance to order breakfast if needed. We had a lovely stay.

Just an FYI, we had flat 10 and there's a large floor level window in the wall of the bathroom that opens onto the street at 1st floor level. Not a problem for us, but visitors with little children who could open it should be aware. Nice place tho!! (and perhaps it wouldve been pointed out to us, had we had small children)

Decent place!

The location is good, close to the beach and the restaurants. Quite spacious and clean.

The bedroom is on the second floor while the bathroom is on the 1st, not fun if you have to go to the bathroom during the night.

A clean and cosy place for a stress-free stay.

The apartment was charming, comfortable, and clean. The reception was very attentive and made many efforts to make sure we were well informed about the area, shopping, food, things to do, etc. It is a good base for visiting around the area. We did lots of easy day trips (Touquet, Boulogne sur Mer, Deux caps, etc.) from there.

The only minor inconvenience is that there is not enough parking for all of the apartments in the free lot (15 spots for 18 apartments, as I recall). However, we had no problem finding free parking on the street just a few dozen meters away. So, it really didn't pose much of a problem.

Great big apartment. Stay a week, not a night!

Huge room. Two rooms, each with en suite bath room. Big kitchen, sitting room and own entrance. When we left our soap bags the staff called us to let us know. They wouldn’t post them, but we’re helpful when we organised a courier to come and pick them up. We didn’t use the restaurant opposite but should have done- it looks great.

As previous reviewers had noted, you have to pay 20euros for bedding and towels. This is only mentioned in the “bathroom” part of the details. We only stayed one night so this increased the price a lot, and then we had to strip the beds before we left. This is a great place if you want to stay a few nights. For one night I would find a hotel.

We had an apartment on the ground floor and the bathroom was wet which we didn't appreciate. Be careful and put your dishes back in the cupboard. We were charged although we have washed ours but left them dry out.

Cleanliness needs to be improved drastically

Absolutely disgusting hotel! I would never recommend anyone to stay at the hotel. It first started off the day before we arrived we had been sent a text message stating we would need to pay an extra 25 Euros for bed linen. We had accepted the fact we would need to pay for this as we would be arriving at the hotel really late during the night. We had thought to have believed we would be provided with some form of bedding. Once we arrived at the hotel honestly this had been the worst hotel we had stayed in. As we entered we have a strong smell of body odour coming from both apartments. We had tried to contact someone to help however, as it was so late in the night nothing could be done. Lucky we had a form of air freshener. The smell was so bad that two members of my family couldn’t sleep and had vomited during the night. They both had to sleep on sofas as the bed smell was so bad. We tried to explain this the following morning to the receptionist who had stated we need to speak to booking.com as they couldn’t understand English. Just a quick word of advice the hotel does state they do speak English which is false. We had complained to booking.com who had then tried to contact the hotel. The hotel had then got back to them and had explained that we was lying about the smell. If you do stay at this apartments which I personally would advise. Please read all the descriptions as the hotels shows there’s a hot tub in one of the photos but this is part of the spa and also there’s no soap so please bring your own and possible a air freshener. We will be seeing what further we can do as the hotel are claiming we are lying. Thank you to booking.com personally for trying your best to sort something out! There customer service is first class.

Location and nearby amenities such as food stores and Restaurants .Good communications with clients on arrival.

List of extras which were not clear at booking and appeared later. Accomodation was originally built to high standard, but is let down by subsequent attempts of maintenance and repair. For example the skirting boards fall off, heating water leaking into bedroom from bathroom, main staircase - some of the wooden steps need (professional)maintenance.

Avoid this place! Lack of information regarding rates of cleaning. You can read info of 28E for buying cleaning. What you can't read information about is that it doesn't incl. dish washing. It doesnt say on Booking, in the room or even when you pay the cleaning fee and look the receptionist in the eye, the little curly woman. Afterwards they charge your credit card with another 20E for cleaning after your breakfast and say sorry and they have learned something when Booking call them up. Besides this there are steps of wood to all the apartments that will break. The toilet flush doesnt work and the balconies needs to get inspected.
