Garden of Eden

The staff (family) was super friendly and caring, always willing to help. The room was quite neat, clean and spacious, with fashionable design and interior. Wi-Fi was good. Really nothing to complain about nor feel uncomfortable about.

It was still totally okay, but it was just one of the rooms of a family house, where the owner family also lives. So I felt the need to be more careful than usual so that not much of the sound or noise from my room would travel to the other people in the same house.

Everything was excellent.

Beautiful property on the most amazing street close to some lovely cafes near the tram but also close enough to walk into Antwerp.

Perfect accommodation , hosts and location. If you are staying in Antwerp , stay with Adam and Radhika.

Elegant and well furnished with a very comfortable bed. The street view was very fine - enjoyed the architecture.

I originally rated this property as an 8 out of 10 as I genuinely felt this was a very good score based in my experience. Although it was quite noisy on the road due to passing trams and cars and there were a few standard complementaries that were missing from the room, we still felt that the location was beautiful and the room was quite pretty. The host was friendly initially but the whole check in experience felt very rushed and not very welcoming which is what justified in my opinion a fair score of 8 out of 10. It turns out that this rating was just not acceptable for the host.

Once I left my rating of 8 out of 10 I received some very rude and aggressive messages from the host firstly insulting me and then demanding in a confrontational and insulting way that I explain my "very poor" rating. Even though I tried to respond politely he continued to message me at unreasonable times in the evening in an aggressive tone and bully me into giving hire ratings. I looked at previous reviews made by other customers and this seems to be how he responds to reviews. He insults you and confronts you if the reviews are not 9 out of 10 plus. I am shocked by this behaviour as I personally felt that I gave a good review. The stay was nice but in my opinion was not a place that I would rate 10 out of 10. I am 8 months pregnant and have found his behaviour quite disgusting and distressing. Because of his behaviour, it has out an awful taste in my mouth on the whole experience and I would not give him any score above 1 out of 10. I would advice you to avoid staying here unless you want to be bullied into giving high reviews or harassed if you do not. He should not be in this business if he cannot handle that some customers just have different standards and tastes. He has no right to dictate how we choose to rate our experiences. I have travelled all around the world and stayed in many places from hostels to fancy resorts and always rate places fairly. I have given many full star ratings over the years but this experience just did not feel that it was anything special fora few reasons. The "extra" things that they feel they did for us are very standard curtesies that you can receive anywhere. I have only ever written 2 other bad reviews in my life and this really has been the worst experience for me in my 35 years of travel. If you choose to stay here, then good luck.

Everything was superb, one of the few times that the rooms looked even better than in the photos! Beautiful interior, amazing bed, delicious breakfast and Adam was really helpful!

Small, family run guesthouse in a listed building. Very friendly. WiFi is excellent. Breakfast is lovely. Tram station is nearby - quick and easy way to get to the centre of Antwerp.

Car parking is very limited and expensive. No lift - our room was two floors up.
