T3 avec vue sur la Mer Notre Chez-Nous

The apartment is on the top floor of a lovely building that in a bygone age was the town's elegant hotel. You must be able to climb 5 floors, but when you enter there is a lovely luminous apartment (very well equipped) with roof and wall windows with gorgeous views both towards the sea, and the cathedral and backdrop of mountains. The apartment is well insulated and warm and quiet unless you want to open the windows to hear the cathedral bells. The ceiling is low in places, as usual in a roof apartment, but through the clever design the space is used very well; and the lighting is well designed to relax, appreciate the sunsets, and avoid any head-football with the beam (for a tall guy ..). The situation is perfect in the town, with access to supermarket, and roast bbq chickens on sunday. I was there 4 weeks and loved it, along with Propriano - a lovely little town with an overnight ferry to Marseilles (3 a week) and daily buses to Ajaccio, Bonifacio and Porto Vecchio. Car hire is just down the road. All in all a lovely place to stay, be the weather sunny or stormy (and if you open a couple of opposing windows you can know the sailing weather directly!).

I can imagine some people cannot handle the 5 floor ascent, or appreciate the run down nature of the ascent - it does need better lighting at night. You also have to appreciate that the sloping ceiling does require a bit of dropping the head at times. That's about it.

The accomodation is having enough space for 4 people. It is well positioned in Propriano. Wifi works very well for those who would need it even for work. The owners are kind and fixed little hick-ups quickly.

The hygene was not on highest level, at least not for my standards. The apartment is on 5th floor without elevator in quite old and badly maintened building, which was not mentioned anywhere.
