Stunning 2 Bedroom Apartment in Wallasey

The property was in a good location, beds were comfortable, it was clean and also secure.

It needed some tlc with regard to the paintwork. The freezer was frozen over so could not be used. Also the directions were contradictory and so the property was not easy to find.

Lovely, clean, well furnished apartment in a good location, very comfortable stay.

The good points - the apartment has dedicated off road parking, the agent was waiting when we arrived and gave a walkaround of the apartment. The apartment was clean and facilities as described and it is in a quiet area. The bakery just outside the entrance is lovely, New Brighton itself has two restaurants we tried - Cappadocia (Turkish) and Portofino (Italian) both of which were very good. Also the train service into Liverpool from either New Brighton or Birkenhead North is good with free parking.

However, is the apartment 'exceptional'? Unfortunately not. The paintwork throughout is looking tired and a bit shabby. The pillows on the beds are all past their best, there are some basics missing e.g. oven gloves (mentioned by another reviewer some months ago). Somel plates and bowls are chipped. The curtain in the front bedroom is grubby / stained. The shower over the bath is fine, but the bath drains *very* slowly None of these things are difficult to fix, but I can't say the apartment is "exceptional" given those things.

Excellent location with good access to amenities. 1 allocated parking space adjacent to property. Lovely bakery next door. Park with playground and beach access nearby. Enclosed garden. Good size property. All accessible on single level. Any queries can be sent through the messaging system and are promptly responded to.

Lack of clarity on how to gain access to property key on arrival and where to leave key on departure. Freezer unusable as all drawers completely frozen shut and door not able to be closed properly - this was reported for fixing. General level of cleanliness was not to expected level, especially the floor throughout. Mattress toppers very worn and uncomfortable. Kitchen sink not thoroughly cleaned under trap. Instructions stated need to ensure waste disposed in correct bin or will be fined, but no instructions on where it goes - only visible at the complexes collection point - a quick guide in the property would have been helpful. Stated had a dryer, but it doesn't - washer only. Bench available outside was rotten in places with loose nails, my 3 year old got a scratch on her leg from a protruding nail.
