Very clean rooms, amazing hospitality

First of all rooms are very clean and staff especially Muharrem is very helpful and kind person. We were amazed with the hospitality and sanity of the hotel. Pool was lovely especially for the kids. It is not a big pool but having diving board in pool made it fun for kids.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Macedon; it truly felt like a second home! The location is perfect: close to everything, but still really peaceful and relaxing. The rooms were super clean and comfortable, and the garden is just beautiful. What made our stay extra special was the kindness and warmth of the people running the hotel (thanks a million to Harris, Muharrem, and all their colleagues). They were always smiling, ready to help, and gave us great tips about where to go and what to do around the island. It’s rare to feel so genuinely welcomed, and we’re so grateful for that. Breakfast was simple but satisfying, with everything fresh and nicely presented. If you're planning a trip to Thassos, don’t think twice—Hotel Macedon is a wonderful choice. We can’t wait to come back!

Excellent warm welcoming and generous owner and employees.

First of all, I would like to thank the hotel owner Elena, her son Micha (I may have misheard his name, they can write the correct one and correct it :) ) and the friendly hotel employee Muarrem for their interest and concern. They showed incredible hospitality. We had a slight disappointment on our first day, as the hotel pool was not yet open. According to the information we had, it was supposed to open by the end of May 28. We had hoped to enjoy the pool with our young child. However, this was due to circumstances beyond Elena’s control, and both Elena and Muarrem explained the situation to us. Mr. Muarrem brought us apricots he had picked from the garden with his own hands. Mrs. Elena expressed her regret every time she saw us, out of embarrassment. She showed us so much attention that it felt like visiting an elderly relative we hadn't seen in a long time. As a gesture of goodwill and apology, they even offered us an extra day's stay for free since we couldn't use the pool. They were such kind and gracious people that they even gave us a small gift (extra virgin olive oil). What I’m trying to say is that they didn’t brush off the potential issues that could arise in any hotel, and they were generous enough to accommodate us. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

It would have been better to have elevator for some rooms. But it is quite hard to have one due to design of otel. It is not a must but nice to have. And wc's/bathroom doors might be more isolated.

Clean, safe and honest

Everbody was so kind and helpful. Our room was cleaned daily, they replace everything daily. That is a big plus. Because you can’t find hotels like these anymore. I had a package came after my stay. They also help with it too. They gave us fresh fruits from their own trees. Also special thanks to Muharem

Good choice for Thassos.

“Epharisto” for the warm welcome from nice lady in the reception 😊 The room was clean and large. Breakfast was nice, we felt as we were in our own house. The hotel is so close to center, 5 minutes on foot. I will prefer the same hotel when I visit Thassos again. See you again Harris 😊

I am sure that it s not the last stay.

It was my first time in Thassos after a long time and that property was the second place that i went for finding what i would like to see. And i found all there. The people you will meet there are incredibly nice. They are smiling and their conversations are very enjoyable. In terms of room cleaning and breakfast service, everything was fine. The facility is also a place to stay in terms of its design. The opportunity to be among the greens is never overlooked.

The staff was very nice. The breakfast was good, especially the orange juice. I like the fact that they have a table chair for children and a playground.

There was a bad smell in the bathroom, many mosquitoes and a lizard in the room.

Nice family hotel near harbour

Cleaning was exceptional, they changed towels every day, bedding every 3-4 days, cleaned the room every day. Location was good, close to restaurants (3 minutes walk), 5-10 minutes drive to very nice beaches. The family that owns the hotel are very nice and very helpful. We needed to test our children and the lady owner arranged to have the test taken on Saturday and we received the results that same day in the email. Breakfast was ok, average I would say.

The size of the room we stayed in was not quite ok for a family (2 adults, 1 child). Not enough space to put you things. The bathroom is made of glass walls that do not ensure privacy. It was very hot but since the air conditioning was placed near the bed, we couldn't sleep with it turned on. There were a lot of mosquitoes, but the windows did not have nets, therefore we had to close the windows at night and it was very hot inside. There are things that could be improved confort-wise. Breakfast can be improved with fresh fruit.

The room was nice and the orange fresh squeezed juice at breakfast was great.

The room had new furniture but there was still a bad smell of old and the fridge was dirty and smelly. The chairs on the balcony were very old and broken. The kids playground was very old and the garden wasn't maintained. The mattresss was very old.

Harika bir tercih.

Oteldeki ilk gunden,son gune degin sahane misafir edildik. Konukseverlikleri icin otelin isletmecisi Harris’e, hem oteldeyken hem de ayrilirken bize sundugu harika ikramlar ve yardimseverliginden dolayi da Muharrem Bey’e cok tesekkur ederiz. Otelin imkanlari (sabah kahvaltisi, havuz ve oda temizligi) son derece tatmin ediciydi. Bir sonraki Thassos tatilimizde yine gorusecegiz Macedon.

Kahvaltı çok güzeldi, oda gayet temizdi, odaya bırakılan karpuz peynir ve çıkışta verilen zeytinyağı güzel bir jestti, park sorunu yoktu.

Banyonun tabanından odaya su sızıyordu.

Bu punalari bence hic haketmiyir les gibi bir yer .. bir an once kacmak istedik.

Zile însorite cu plaje frumoase in Thasos

Personalul amabil. Pensiunea este situata de centrul Limenas. Micul dejun variat si perioada de servire rezonabila, între 8 si 11 dimineața. Terasa camerei destul de mare. Si bineînțeles piscina in forma ingenioasa de picior.

Locul de parcare a fost pe marginea drumului. Baia camerei era separata de niște panouri de plastic care nu îți ofereau un minimum de intimitate.

Çeşit çeşit ağaçların ve çiçeklerin arasında saklanmış sessiz ve huzurlu bir otel, konumu çok merkezi, odalar tertemiz ve geniş balkonları var. Havuzu küçük sayılır ama yeterli, kahvaltısı güzel, çalışanlar güleryüzlü.

Doluluk yüzünden sadece bir gece konaklayabildik.
