Chic Apartments and Studios at The Point in Aberdeen

the location is perfect, it was minutes from my work and the main part of the town with shops etc

The room was TINY. The pictures did not show just how small the room was. It was like a tiny box. The view was a wall with a slither of road which was quite shocking actually. It made the room feel smaller too. The room was so warm as it was a heat wave when I was there however when you open the window the noise from the road is deafening so I had to close it again to get any sleep which was a nightmare in the heat!

No daylight in room most of the time- it faced a concrete wall. Overlooked by other rooms and window blind difficult to access - I am 5’6” and could only reach the blind by balancing precariously on the swivel chair. It was fine for one person - I think two would be less comfortable as only space for one person to sit and eat at the counter, and only one easy chair.

Point Apartments is in an excellent location, just across the road from the Aberdeen Art Gallery and near city centre. The acccomodation at The Point Apartments is modern, clean and comfortable. There was a good wardrobe in the room, a fridge, cooker and cupboards with kitchen utensils etc.

The bathroom was a bit on the small side and the seating chair in the room was not comfortable to sit on for long periods of time as it was a bar stool type of chair.

The flat itself was clean and very useful to book for cooking on holiday instead of just going out to restaurants. Close to the center and train station. Lots of storage for a holiday place.

Some small problems with the place that were really frustrating: The cutlery, glasses, pots, etc. were dirty on arrival and had to be recleaned completely (not moldy, just dirty). The window barely opens and there's no proper ventilation system in the bathroom, so any smells would stay in the air for ages and the room was far too warm for most of the stay. There's no instructions for the hob and oven (the hob goes off after 5 min and when asked about it, there was no help from reception). The given information was overwhelming and unclear, letting us believe that the reception isn't part of the booking agency but then it was and we needed to pick the keys up there? Their "check-in" system takes much longer than they say it does and is demanded before they even accept your booking which isn't actually a check-in anymore and just silly. They only provide you with one set of towels which wasn't ideal for drying dishes. No seasoning or any basic food items which sorta sucks. The bed has no frame and is just situated on a shelving box (with a backboard though) but it keeps shifting in the night, causing you to hit the side when you get up without paying attention. All in all really I'm nitpicking but it did end up frustrating my stay. I would not want to stay longer than a week.
