Ancora Faros

The location was fantastic, right on the Riva in Stari Grad. We had two amazing views from our bedroom, one over the harbour and the other towards the old town. The apartment was very clean, and our host was helpful with an early check-in and provided useful information about arriving and staying in Stari Grad. There are lots of great places to explore. In Stari Grad, there’s plenty to discover in the back streets, including the Monastery and Museum. We particularly enjoyed a sunset drink at Tramonto Bar and dinner at Antika. We also took the bus to Vrboska, enjoying the pretty village and the walk on to Jelsa, with a stop at Sandy Beach, a rare, truly sandy beach.

The apartment is quite small. As we were a party of three, the lounge sofa was converted into a bed for one of us, leaving only the dining table for sitting. It felt quite cramped, and I wouldn’t recommend it for four people. That said, the lack of space was more than made up for by the wonderful views from the bedroom.

The stairs lol but it was manageable

Perfect and beautiful location, right in the middle of Stari Grad with easy access to everything. New and refurbished, very clean.

Very difficult to sleep because the whole town passes by the window through the night until 2-3 am. The property and next door restaurants leave their tables out after closing and so there is a constant flow of people who bring their own drinks and sit and talk very loudly. All fine of course, but not nice to sleep next to.
