Modern Flat In The Heart Of Chamonix

The flat is modern, clean and well appointed with a great view of Mont Blanc from the windows and terrace. The kitchen is modern and well furnished with a variety of equipment for cooking. Plenty of closet space for a short trip. The bathroom is clean and modern with hot water. Wifi is fast and The SMART TV with streaming service was great for relaxing in the evenings. It is centrally located in the center of town near shops and restaurants. It's a short walk from the train station and near the bus stations. It is a very easy walk to the cable care of Aigule du Midi or the train for La Mer de Glace or other activities. I would gladly stay again.

There is only one key for the apartment. They didn't provide enough toilet paper and we had to buy more. Since it's in the center of town, it was common in the evenings while trying to sleep to to hear the occasional yells of people partying below. We also heard the the explosions from the avalanche control being done on the mountain. They ask you to provide an inventory of check-in and check-out that can be quite tedious to do. It's really more suitable for 2 people. There is a sofa bed to host up to 4 but I wouldn't recommend it as the person/s sleeping here will not have any privacy and be in the common area.

I had a great stay. The apartment is in an excellent location right in the city centre, making it very convenient for shopping and getting around. The building also has a lift, which made it easy to bring my luggage up to the apartment. Overall, a comfortable and convenient place to stay.

The view from the room is really nice! Very comfortable mornings for early bird people

Hot water was not working for 2 days. Had to get host to support, but issue was left unresolved. However, the service and support provided by the host was brilliant and given us a partial refund due to our discomfort.

Pros: • 
In the centre of Chamonix town, you can walk everywhere • 
Beautiful view from the balcony of the mountains • Close to ski hire shops, buses and walking distance to ski lifts • Parking available

Cons: • It was impossible to set the shower temperature, it was either very hot or very cold. It was a dread taking a shower because the water temperature was so unbearable. When I contacted the host they said someone will come around the next day to have a look – nobody did. • When we arrived, the bedding was stained, and the bed was not made. I had to make the bed and noticed how dirty the duvet and bed sheets were. I’ve never had to make a bed when staying at a rented property! I did complain and received new bed sheets the next day, but let’s put it this way—we did not feel like we were staying in a clean place. • Communication with the host was quick initially, but I think I spoke with 3 different people in the end. When I contacted the host on booking, they told me to contact a rep on WhatsApp, that rep was not working and told me to contact another rep on WhatsApp. It felt like time-wasting and a lot of admin if you have an issue that needs sorting. • I think the apartment is compact and it would be a stretch to have 4 people stay.
