The Burrow is a fantastic mid-terrace three-storey cottage resting in Windermere, Cumbria. Hosting three bedrooms, including a twin with en-suite shower room, a king-size and a single, along with a bathroom, this property can sleep up to five guests. There is also a kitchen dining room and a sitting room with woodburning-effect gas fire. Outside there is off-road parking for one car, and a courtyard with furniture. The Burrow is a wonderful base to discover the Windermere from.

This property is located in an incredible spot--right in the middle of downtown Windermere and proximal to a bus stop, tons of stores, and the train station. Check in procedure very easy. Condition of furniture okay (worn), outdoor "table set" very poor. Didn't have a car, but there is a private parking spot in back, which is great for those that do. Second bathroom is extremely tight. Good amount of dishes. Very minimal TP, prayer towels, and other provisions. No dishwasher tabs, no additional dish towels or bath towels, etc. And my biggest pet peeve is what I would categorize as a demanding check out list, including stripping beds and bagging them up at foot of bed (even though no bags to be found), in the name of COVID. We always leave our property stays in tidy ready-to-clean condition, but there is a point where you feel it is a job--and it is not my job to be the cleaning service for properties. That is their responsibility, and they have been paid well for it. Yet I received several emails beforehand stating their expectations and consequences for not meeting them. I did not feel welcome, I felt a dread about staying there. I still enjoyed my holiday, but not this property. So no, I would not stay here again. But if your sole desire is a great location, then this is a great place for you!
