Oudeklip Guesthouse Nieuwoudtville

Accomodation was absolutely fabulous, as was the welcome. Natasha was really helpful in directions etc, as sell as advising where we could eat, which was more than I can say for the owner of the Blou Huis Restaurant. I will put that in the section below, not because or was a negative on Oudeklip, quite the contrary, but the owner of Blou Huis Restaurant (which is also a Hotel), needs to know this.

About Oudeklip, absolutely nothing was wrong, the Hosts were stunning, the welcome was wonderful and the accomodation was gorgeous... wish we could have stayed another day/night. The Blou Huis Restaurant (5 minutes walk away), was however a shocker. The owner/Manager was totally unhelpful, unresponsive and thoroughly unpleasant. The food was OK, but the staff made us feel we were keeping them from going home, so we felt we had to rush our 'OK' food. I did advise the owner when we would be arriving and when we were on our way to the restaurant, to which I received an answer from him/her, 2 hours later, abruotly saying "WE'RE CLOSED". If we return to this town, I will NEVER eat there again.

Oudeklip Gastehuis offers comfortable, clean and well-equipped accommodation, with a fantastic braai and kitchen area for guests to enjoy. Natasha was an exceptionally helpful and welcoming host, providing excellent recommendations and information about local restaurants, attractions and the surrounding area. A wonderful place to stay in Nieuwoudtville, with great facilities and genuine hospitality

We were to late for the flowers but all other things in the area and surrounding towns were pointed out to us on a map. We visited them all and well worth it
