About this cottage rental
Our family cottages sit on 158 feet of private lake frontage (a rare find!) on beautiful Bear Lake. Bear Lake is an all sports lake with shallow water 20 feet out. The zero entry beaches and hard sandy bottom make it perfect for kids.
Roadside (sleeps 4, could fit 6 by using the pull out couch) and Beachside (sleeps 6) are the two rustic cottages on the property. Each cottage is about 600 sq. feet. The property comes with WiFi, TV, window air conditioning units, a grill, kids kayak, 2 paddle boards, canoe, 1 picnic table, plenty of outdoor seating and a large yard for games. All linens are provided, please bring your own beach towels
Roadside Cottage: This cottage is at the top of the hill on US 31. There are 2 bedrooms. One bedroom has a queen size bed and the other bedroom has a bunk bed with a full size bottom bunk and twin top bunk. There is 1 full bathroom, open living area with a TV, dining table and full kitchen. There is a portable AC unit.
Beachside Cottage: This cottage has a main floor queen bedroom (with a TV), bathroom, open living room, full kitchen and a loft bedroom with 3 twin beds (one has a trundle to make 4 beds) and a TV. There is an AC window unit in the loft and one on the main floor.
The lake frontage is what makes our cottages unique. With 158 feet of lake frontage, there is plenty of room for everyone to enjoy. Whether you want to relax in the hammocks, enjoy happy hour on the deck, play wiffle ball in the yard or read a book on the beach, there is a spot for everyone.
The lake has a hard sandy bottom and is shallow for a ways out, which makes is perfect for all ages. Because it's shallow at the shore, the water temperature is typically warm enough for swimming all summer long.

It's a beautiful setting, having the canoe and kayak is wonderful, and the setup was great for us, two small families vacationing together. It's also great for taking small children swimming because the lake bottom is sandy and very shallow for quite a long way out. I appreciated being able to use the on-site drip charger for my PHEV, too.

The hard well water situation was problematic for cooking, showering and drinking. The water pressure and size of the lower kitchen sink made washing dishes nearly impossible. The area is spectacular, but, the proximity to 31 distracts from the overall ambiance and was difficult to park during high traffic times.

We enjoyed our stay at Bear Lake immensely. The cottages were excellent for our family and gave us the flexibility we needed. It was clean and right on the water! Kerry’s communication was outstanding and we benefited from her recommendations too. You’ll be glad you stayed here.
