About this house rental
Located on Portage Lake with a private, sandy beach, private dock, and fire pit and just minutes from the sandy beaches of Lake Michigan. This is a totally renovated home from the studs in with all new furnishings, flooring, and appliances. The outdoor patio is just off the kitchen with Weber gas grill. You are close to hiking and biking trails. Boat rentals are available to be delivered and kept at your private dock. The property sits along M22, one of the most scenic drives in America traversing north along the Lake Michigan shoreline through orchards, wineries, and quaint towns. Visit Sleeping Bear Dunes national shoreline. There are many wonderful golf courses nearby including nationally known Arcadia Bluffs just 7 miles away. Great fishing on Portage Lake, Lake Michigan, and renowned streams and rivers. Winter is all about snowmobiling, skiing, and ice fishing. Crystal Mountain Resort is 30 minutes away. Traverse City is an hour drive to the north. Little River casino is 8 miles.

The property was lovely and had most everything we wanted. There was an issue with the water well and repairs were going on the entire time we were there. The property management provided water, so we were never without water. My main concern was the equipment and the mud it generated were in the driveway near the house. It was difficult and dangerous to enter and leave the house the entire time we were there. Mud was tracked in constantly. The property manager did everything he could to make sure that we were ok and I certainly understand that this problem was unforeseen, but it does make it difficult to provide a perfect review.

This vrbo is amazing--it is open, spacious and comfortable. It is a beautiful, quiet and safe setting inside and out with all the amenities of home. It was the perfect place for our family to spend a few days of vacation together.

Beautifully refinished farm house. Love the master bedroom and on-suite. All new mattresses throughout. Best sleep I’ve had in any prior rental property. Plenty of room for 10.
Kitchen is well designed with high end appliances.
Beach across the street was not an issue.
It’s a nice beach with clear water, and new dock.
Comfortable chairs and great fire pit.
Granddaughter’s loved the games.
Thanks to property manager and owner for a wonderful vacation
