Amazing location right by the lake and beach, while still being very close to the city center. If you’re looking for a calm and relaxing beach, this location is perfect. It’s on the west side of the lakeside, which felt much quieter than the east side, and I thought the water looked even more beautiful. The beach can get crowded and noisy during the day, but the mornings and evenings were incredibly peaceful. I loved taking morning walks along the lake, grabbing coffee at the café by the beach, and swimming in the beautiful water with the mountains as a backdrop. I recommend bringing water shoes as it’s a pebble beach. I also loved the lake view from the apartment window, although the window is positioned a little higher than usual. The apartment itself was very spacious, and the host was welcoming, responsive, and easy to communicate with. Check-in was also very smooth. Overall, I had a wonderful stay and would happily come back! A few things to keep in mind before booking: the apartment is on the 4th floor (or 3rd floor in European counting), so it may be a little challenging if you have large or heavy luggage. I only had a small carry-on, so it wasn’t a problem for me at all. There is also no kitchen, so cooking may be difficult if that’s important to you. Personally, I love eating out, so I didn’t need a kitchen and it wasn’t an issue for me. There is a mini fridge, which was very helpful for keeping drinks and a few things cold.

IT was rainy and cold the night I stayed there, and although 2 blankets were provided, they weren’t really warm enough…

I met the father’s host to get the keys. The old men had a clear inappropriate behaviour towards me when we were alone inside the apartment. He made me feel uncomfortable and a bit scared. I am used to travel the world alone, stay in rental places in different continents, and it was the first time I faced an uncomfortable situation like that. Regarding the host: I only spoke to him by phone, never met him in person. Women traveling alone: stay in another place.
