Fabulous Host & Great Location

Clean comfy basic room with modern bathroom. Large comfy bed. Guesthouse Lori is on the lake at the quiet end of town, walking distance to many restaurants & cafes. Communication with Lori was easy & he responded to all questions quickly. Lori was an exceptional host & we felt very welcome. Very few hosts would be so helpful. He picked us up from the bus stop, organized bike rental at late notice (incl. having the bikes delivered to us & collected) gave us a warm welcome by inviting us for tea/coffee at the hotel a few doors down where he gave us dining & places to visit recommendations. We had a super early departure (5am) and Lori made sure the bus would not leave us behind by organizing with the driver to collect us from out the front of the guesthouse. Highly recommend the hospitality. We would stay again.

There was nothing we didn't like. It could be made even better by having a common area to make a cup of tea/coffee.

Great location, great hospitality & great visit!

The guesthouse is right on the beach, a short walk to restaurants & coffee shops & city center. Lori has been building all the interior from the bed frames to the closets to the night stands, floors & stairs. The shower was one of the best in the four places we stayed. Lori was very kind and especially helpful when I got confused on the meeting place of my walking tour and helped contact the tour guide and led him to where the guide could meetup with me…faleminderit Lori!

Bring eye mask as the light for the walking path filters into the room, but I prefer the saftey from the light.

A different kind of accommodation

The location, view from small balcony and private beach was excellent.

The description of the property is misleading, it states whole property. We arrived expecting to be the only guests in the property, we found its not the whole property but just a bedroom with on-suite bathroom. There were other guests staying in the next room which we do not mind normally but let's say we could hear them enjoying the room. It is more like a hotel room which was not what we wanted to book. The finish to the room is chipboard, a wardrobe made from it, hangers provided over the handle but nowhere to hang them. The bed is home made out of chipboard and very noisy. There was a refrigerator in the room but nowhere to make drinks. The owner did however provide us with 2 cups and a kettle so we could make coffees. We decided to stay as the owner was very accommodating and being out of season the price was very good. Had we realised it was just a room when booking we would have looked for an alternative accomodation.

My stay at Guest House Lori in Pogradec was absolutely wonderful! The room was spacious, comfortable, and spotless, you could really tell how much care goes into keeping everything clean and welcoming. I loved how close it was to the beautiful Ohrid River and just a short walk from the city center. The hospitality was exceptional; the owner was kind, attentive, and made me feel right at home. It was the perfect place to relax and enjoy Pogradec peaceful, cozy, and full of warmth.

Beautiful relaxing place to swim, boat, and good places to eat nearby.

One of the best locations in Podradec because it is a beach on the lake right outside the door. My host was willing to drive me without charge to the bus station. He speaks English and is very friendly. Remodeled bathroom and large room with refrigerator. And he provided a rubber boat to take in the lake so I rowed to one of the historic bunkers on a beach nearby.

I wished there was a way to heat up food.

Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber. Die Lage ist fantastisch direkt am See. Der Gastgeber reagierte schnell auf Anfragen. Ich konnte in der Nebensaison ohne Probleme zwei weitere Nächte buchen.
