Maestranza Beach by Sol Maestranza

We had a very enjoyable stay in Málaga. The apartment is in a great location, close to the beach, restaurants, and many attractions. Check-in was easy, and communication was excellent throughout our stay. A special thank you to Juan Carlos for his outstanding support. He helped us with transfers, car rental, and every question we had before and during our stay. He was always friendly, responsive, and very helpful. Everything was well organized, and we felt very well looked after during our holiday. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Bad ist sehr klein. War uns aber bewusst.

A lovely cosy apartment ideal for 2 people. Great kitchen facilities if you want to self cater, fantastic location overlooking the beach and easy 10 minute walk into the centre of Malaga.

The air conditioning in the bedroom did not seem to work very well.

Location was great

First of all, the photos you see on Booking are very deceiving. The apartment looks so much bigger on them, when in reality it is very small, roughly only 30qm!! We were 4 people and honestly, it was too small. We also had a stroller with us which we could not leave anywhere else but inside the apartment. There was too less space for our children to play quietly or have some privacy. Next, the bathroom is the smallest we have ever come across on our travels and we travel a lot. The toilet is basically almost in the shower and on the very tiny sink. Very sad and not made for 4 people. We also didnt bring a lot of clothes since it said there was a washing machine available. Said washing machine must have been used the last time 2 months ago and since then it had not been cleaned by the cleaning staff. An aweful smell hit us when opening the machine and it was full of black mould. To be honest, it was disgusting. The "terrace" is also in reality a balcony with very uncomfortable chairs to sit down. There was also no drying rack provided to dry wet towels (after a day on beach). There was only a small one for maybe 10 socks , and this one was outisde the bedroom window. We asked for a drying rack and Alberto offered to bring one but not before letting me know I am the only person ever asking for it. Anyway, we appreciated his offer. Until..What we got was the cheapest drying rack one could find in a Chinese shop. It could barely hold 4 wet towels before almost falling apart. For the rather huge sum of money they got from us, one would expect a sturdier one. Moreover, the elevator was also very tiny. There were two but and they only fit 2,5 people. Very difficult with a stroller. And before the first one was not down or up, the second one would not move. It also started only on the first floor. There was a wheelchair lift from ground floor to 1st floor but we were told we could not use it.
