About this house rental
Shakti Rio Miño, a rare find and perfect for large groups / families / or friends as you get the privacy and space you may be looking for yet a central cosy bodega (a large room with a bar) to all come together to relax and enjoy meals and gatherings. The accommodations comprises a 2 bedroom stone cottage and two Scandinavian lodges with 2 twin rooms in each, kitchen, lounge, bathroom and terrace situated and privately housed in the grounds of a beautiful Rustic Finca, in a elevated position, with gorgeous views to Portugal and River Minho. Good sized private swimming pool 'with a view'. There are numerous terraces and shaded areas for sitting out, and a small private BBQ within the Ancient Galician Horreo, and a larger BBQ area near the pool, with extensive recreational areas throughout the extensive grounds. Peaceful area, with river, forest and hill walks direct from Finca. Sandy river beach, safe for swimming, 10 minutes walk, with many gorgeous sandy sea beaches within 15- 30 minutes drive, on both Spanish and Portuguese side. Good restaurants within walking distance, and in the heart of The Albarino wine producing area of Rosal. Lots to do and see with Celtic and Roman and other historical remains abundant in the locality. Water sports, riding, walking trips and cycling can be organised locally. Ideal location for families or larger groups with a separate large reception room available if required.

Beautiful property with amazing outdoor space. We loved spending time in the fantastic pool with views of pine trees and portugese hills.
A great place for the whole family, we had our granddaughter who is nearly two and my in laws who are in their 70s and all enjoyed their stay. Plenty of space to be together, either outside in the gardens or inside the bodega, but also good to have our own spaces to retire to. Our granddaughter particularly enjoyed spotting frogs and fish in the pond.
Great location, a short walk to a picturesque river beach, a fantastic tapas bar and the lovely o lagar restaurant. We also enjoyed the short walk up to monte real for stunning views over the miño. Definitely could spend many weeks here as so much to do in the area, on both the Spanish and Portuguese sides.
Pam was a terrific host- very friendly and helpful. She sat with us over a glass of wine when we arrived and told us all about the area. She was also very generous in sharing with us some pool toys and anticipating some things that would be useful for our granddaughter, e.g. lending us a baby bath etc.
Could maybe have done with a little bit more storage and a fridge freezer in the kitchen of the cottage but we were able to use the ones in the casitas. Would also be good to have some more lighting outside, to help with the journey from the cottage to the casitas at the end of the night.
Overall a wonderful place that we would heartily recommend. A real slice of paradise!

Nos ha encantado la finca. Tiene un jardín enorme con piscina, barbacoa y unas vistas espectaculares. Robin ha sido muy atento y amable con nosotros. La casa está a pocos kilometros en coche de Tuy, el castro de Santa Tecla, La Guardia...
