"Very quiet location but still central enough for shops and access to the Forest of Dean. Accommodation had all the facilities I wanted and was clean and comfy. Hosts were excellent."

7 / 10Good·Oct 2026
The cottage was in a lovely location and was generally clean and comfortable. It was a good base for exploring the surrounding area.
The main issue was the heating, which we couldn’t control ourselves and had to ask the host to adjust remotely. The heating was also off overnight on our first night. The Wi-Fi then stopped working the next day, which was difficult as there is very little mobile signal at the property and the TV also relies on the internet. We messaged the host about this but didn’t receive a response.

Cosy, clean, great facilities.
Bathroom is downstairs, not an issue for us though.
