The location was excellent and the hotel staff were friendly and kind.

The room facilities were fair, but the rug and fry pan need upgrading.

I enjoyed the apartment. It had many amenities which were great. It was clean. I liked the coffee shop below and Asian restaurant It was 2km walk to VAnd A Waterfront in day time not sure about evenings. Close enough easy walk.

That I had to trf R2000 eft or have cash... I would have preferred to use my credit card...I dong do online banking for security reasons to much Fraud. Cost to much to get cash from bank

We recently stayed in City Explorer, Room 704, located in The Onyx Hotel, and managed by a private property management agency. The apartment was clean, well-equipped, and provided all the essentials for a comfortable stay. The central location of The Onyx Hotel made it convenient for getting around the city, with easy access to shops, restaurants, and key attractions. The check-in process was smooth, and the overall service from the property management agency was professional and efficient. Guests should be aware that the property management agency charges an additional R600 for cleaning and R200 for a towel change, which are not included in the base price. There is also a R2,000 damage deposit required at check-in. These costs should be factored in when budgeting for the stay. Otherwise, we had no issues, and our overall experience was pleasant and hassle-free.
