Overall the house was very convenient and comfortable and good place to stay

Location, quiet street, very clean and tidy, tastefully decorated, well equipped ie China , towels etc. able to park

More electric sockets in the front bedroom, hooks on doors, waste bin in rooms. The stair bannister was difficult to hold onto - unable to grip it as stairs very steep. Key lock low and difficult to open in the dark ie to see the numbers. Sofa a bit uncomfortable

Super location

The location is very convenient. Maximum 15 mins walks to wherever you wish to go. The house was very clean and the street is quite to have a nice sleep. Patio is convenient when there is a sun.

The stairs are too steep. The bathroom is accessible through the kitchen which we are not used to. The beds are not big enough if you are big like me. Hard to sleep as two people.

Great location but limited to those who are agile!

The location was great. Very convenient to local shops and the train station. House was well maintained and clean. Host tried to be helpful but unfortunately the property wasn't compatible with my needs.

The stairs were too steep. My fault for not reading all the way to the bottom of the description. Not suitable for people who have knee or balancing issues. Mattresses: both were very soft so there was no choice in terms of which bed to sleep in.

Family weekend

Excellent location. Easy walk into town centre, castle etc.. Accommodation very clean and nicely decorated. The secure courtyard style garden was nice and would be lovely in the summer. The hosts were very quick to respond when we had a problem with the heating and resolved it.

Parking facilitated for one car only. The shower temperature control wasn't working properly.

The property was lovely and clean and suited us.

The internal stairs are steep narrow. Anyone with a physical disability would struggle. The cottage is close to the high road but it is at the bottom of the high road, there is a big hill up to the town Center. However, there is a bus you can catch.

Quaint and updated 1890s row house in the heart of Colchester

Location was excellent. Less than a 10 minute walk to get to the heart of the town centre, a large grocery store, and the main train station. Even though it was close to town, it was pretty quiet overall with minimal traffic. It was also nice to have an outside space to sit in. I appreciated having the recycling bins just outside the back door to limit the amount of garbage. Overall, the property was well appointed with what we needed for our stay. It was also nicely decorated. The furniture was appropriate for the size of the space. The snacks and sparking wine were a very welcome touch. It was nice to have a full size fridge/freezer.

This is by no means the fault of the property itself, but the street often had garbage strewn around, perhaps from people putting their garbage bags out and animals getting to them. There is no AC so it got quite warm inside on hot days. A couple key items were missing that we had to purchase (cloth for kitchen, antibacterial spray for kitchen). The frying pan and cooking utensils are very tired/damaged and need replacing. The stairs are incredibly steep and there is only one bathroom which is downstairs.

Lock box check in and that is important to me. Nice garden, large bedrooms, comfortable beds... House has everything you need and more Walking distance to town centre, restaurants, train station.. Beautiful place to stay

The property was spotless. All the little touches were there. Walkable from the charming town centre and castle. Host me were absolutely wonderful answering all our questions. The bedrooms are lovely and comfortable and the kitchen had everything needed for a mini break. Even some welcome goodies! Would definitely return.

The property Organised free parking before check in House is Near a town centre...not too remote The house was Clean and tidy Generally all areas very Cosy Complimentary drink at arrival Property communicated well and in a timely manner Spacious bedrooms

The lounge area was below our expectations for a two bedroom house.( meaning Lounge area Smaller than the pictures portrayed but it served the purpose). However all other areas were as portrayed I.e.the bedrooms are big and communal area more intimate. The outdoor area was lovely as well

Very modern property well decorated and looked after through out! Very comfy beds and a lovley courtyard garden. Worked well for my husband as he had a room for his office which was a bonus. The house was immaculately clean and having arrived to some bubbles and snacks was a brilliant touch. The area is very quite and you are in walking distance from all the local attractions, shopping, restaurants and high street.
