Mum and daughter had a great stay for 2 nights to relax. Our host arranged Mount Batur jeep tour including lava & black sand tour. We really appreciated breakfast and snacks prepared for us at 4 in the morning. Only 20 ride from Mount Batur lookout and 30 minute walk to the lake.
There is a cafe onsite offering for up till 9pm.
Thanks for having us.

The views. Oh my gosh, the views.
Waking up and looking across Lake Batur was magical.
The price was incredible and having an onsite restaurant meant I didn’t have to leave.
No fault of the staff or cottages but the sound of the crickets or cicadas was almost deafening and traffic noise from below and jeeps climbing Mount Batur pre-dawn seemed to echo through the valley and sleeping-in wasn’t an option.
No coffee making facilities and you have to wait hours until the kitchen opens to get one.

The property is good, offering a nice view of everything for healing, and is a pleasant place.
Too far from the main road, the road goes here so it's not friendly for the new driver. Also, I have a problem with the sink in the bathroom. We stay in the family room, but not recommended for the elderly, because the room has so high gaps on the stairs, and when going to the bathroom.

Great views from the property.
Staff were so friendly and did everything they could to make our stay special.
Only issue was the gaps in this particular room type which let a lot of light and some noise in.

The bed was comfortable, and the view was lovely, and the owners and staff were great.
The pool was not working, which was unfortunate, but it’s just one of those things. The food is disappointing. Except for breakfast, which was scrambled eggs and those eggs were great, everything else tasted like it was previously frozen. They could improve on the food and charge a bit more for it.

It's a wonderful place on a breathtaking high ground. Took the lake facing huts. Very nice, clean and comfy.
Rented a scooter with their help. Costed a lot more than usual but the people had to send it over 30 mins away from the place. But that allowed me to explore the region way more than usual and I loved it!
Food is normal. Nothing to shout about, however they do put in effort to make them as tasty as possible.
The people running the place are all very nice.
Gonna be back again.

My bungalow was charming with a view of Mt & Lake Batur that was marvelous to wake up to every morning. The staff was particularly wonderful and accommodating.
It was up some treacherous roads (my poor rental car)

The staff were incredibly friendly and incredibly helpful. Our cabin had the best view in the valley! The cabin was clean, cute and comfortable. We stayed in the lake view cabin. Breakfast was lovely and dinner was delicious. We climbed Mt Batur during our stay. The owner Jhoni knew everything about the mountain and helped us book the perfect journey up. We opted for the long trek which turned out to be a great idea. After summiting, we got to hike down the back of the mountain where there were NO People! Which is really refreshing after the crowds at the top. After the mountain they gave us a ride to the hotsprings which was a great place to relax after the hike.
All around we had a perfect stay. Would highly recommend!!!

The location offered an incredible view. The road to get there was pretty beat up and rough, but one of the hosts told us he’s working on getting it fixed currently. The food was good for breakfast and there were a lot of good options for dinner as well. The bed was comfortable, and the room was really nice. We did wake up with a few gecko poos on the floor and one time on the bed, but it didn’t bother us too much.
Everywhere in the Batur area has a lot of Flies from all of the agriculture, which was a bit unpleasant when sitting outside, but definitely not something in the property’s control.

The staff was exceptional
The flies were horrendous it might be a seasonal thing. It’s away from everything but the view was incredible. The road to the property was really bad

Friendly, helpful staff and the best view in the area! Food was delicious. Has a resort holiday vibe, but at a budget price. Our hosts organized our jeep tour and hot springs visit for us, and we had no issues. All expenses (tours and food) were billed in a lump sum at the end of the stay, with no surprise charges. Would certainly stay again!

Jono and his wife are very nice, polite, and helpful. They arranged a booking for a local tour guide to go hiking and see the crater at Mt. Batur. They also assisted me in finding a taxi back to my accommodation near the airport. The room was clean and comfortable, and the views from my room, as well as from the property, were stunning, featuring beautiful mountain and lake scenery.
The water has stopped running intermittently. The owner explained that heavy rain had damaged the generator, which has caused these water supply issues. He is currently working to resolve this problem. The food menu is quite limited, but I understand this is due to the remote location. If you don’t rent or own a vehicle, there isn’t much to do in the area. A stay of one to two days is sufficient unless you’re looking to escape the chaos and enjoy nature for a longer period. There are no taxi services from apps available in this area; you must ask the owner to arrange a taxi booking for you.

Our stay in Kintamani was truly refreshing and peaceful. Johny, the host, was outstanding with his warm personality, deep knowledge of Hinduism, and exceptional hospitality. He organized a Mount Batur hike and hot springs visit for us, personally drove us everywhere with great care, and arranged a knowledgeable guide to make the experience unforgettable.
The staff were incredibly friendly and relaxed, always making sure we felt comfortable and welcome. Free water was provided daily, the Wi-Fi was reliable, and the food was simple yet delicious. The pickup service was dependable, and the genuine sense of being part of a family made this stay truly unique.
If you’re looking to escape the hustle and bustle of areas like Canggu and reconnect with nature, this is the perfect choice. The serene mountain views, slow pace of life, and authentic hospitality make it an ideal retreat. I highly recommend it for anyone seeking a peaceful and enriching getaway!

As soon as we arrived at the property we were both blown away by the view, with mountains in every direction. Some of the places nearby were behind this one so although they looked nice they didn’t get the same view as we did.
We stayed here for 2 nights and planned to do Mt Batur the next day and we booked it all through the owners and they organised it for us. On the day of one of the ladies was up at 4 cooking us some breakfast to take with us up Mt batur. We were always offered free tea or coffee.
There’s a very nice warung onsite which was always great to have there. Overall the staff were very friendly and extremely accommodating. They helped us book a taxi on the day we were leaving because there are no grabs around and dropped and picked us up from the hotel springs.

Fantastic little property. So very quiet at night, and amazing looking at the stars. Make sure you pack some warmer clothing as it is a bit cooler at night than most of Bali. Great for anyone looking for a couple of quiet nights away from the hustle and bustle of the big tourist areas. Great staff!!! Well worth the $30AUD odd for the night.

I loved the views and the layout of the place! It was however a little tricky to get to on a motorcycle as there was a short stretch of uneven road towards the property. The staff were very friendly and helpful even though they were understaffed - the lady was always smiley and happy to help. The room and bathroom were spacious.
There were a lot of flies and insects, though this is through no fault of the property. It is expected being out in nature! Just got to be mindful to shut the doors to prevent those critters from flying in.

The hospitality and location were amazing, stunning views of the lake and volcano. Pak Joni handled everything for us, organising an incredible sunrise tour of Mt Batur with the lovely Tari, who was a great guide, to providing transport to the local hot springs after. Joni and his beautiful wife, who’s a great cook, even drove us to Padang Bai after our transport option fell through, they really went above and beyond to take care of us during our stay.

We have book two rooms. One for the mountain view which is actually facing to the dining area, not a full view of clear mountain view. Another room for Lake view which has quite nice scenery which has some stages to walk through that not too recommend to elder people. The price contains breakfast which we ordered pancakes that pretty nice. Thanks to the part timer young kid that cooked for us.
1. The access road to reach the accomodation is really terrible (buruk). Driver please kindly consider. We reached in a rainy night and couldnot find the way with google map easily as the condition of the road is out of expected way too poor and made us unsure about the directions. I just hoped that the host should mentioned this in the description clearly so that people who willing to come could consider about. Due to the road condition and distance of pathway to reach villa, I will not actually consider to visit again.
2. The host is being not too friendly in attitude. I was not sure if this was my misunderstood but the way when we decided to not book the trekking tour from him and the way he treated our driver (after driving so long and tough time, our driver is exhausted) is not too friendly, though it was my personal thoughts.
3. The water supply was not stable. We have experienced water shortage twice during our stay. The first night when we came into this problem, the host ask the young kid to help to solve it immediately as it has some problem due to the rain. The next morning when we woke up early at 6am, both rooms are running out of water, so we couldn't use the toilet. The host was sleeping and the young kid was resting at the counter floor too that we couldn't reach anyone at that moment to solve our problem. Only when we left to hike we met the female host who is quite polite and she apologized that this happened which makes us felt better. Accidentally circumstances is acceptable actually, just the way how they response would leave impression to our stay.
4. Lastly is about the massive amount of flies (lalat). Though this would happened in anywhere in Kintamani area I supposed. So it might not just issue of this villa but the whole environment. Just a reminder that if you would consider to visit , it would be a challenge to dine in with the flies around all the time especially day time. It was a special experience for us.

Peaceful place, owner was friendly
Road to get there is really bad, the unit has no insect screen on windows so you get a bunch of mosquitos inside (there's a bed mosquito net). Not the host's fault but climbing the volcano alone means you'll get harressed, mt. Batur is not worth visiting overall

Nothing.
It’s different than the picture shown.
Nothing.
No proper service
The person doesn’t know how to speak to guest.
He yelled at me when I was asking simple question instead of explaining, he started saying “all Indians are same like you” if we ask questions is that wrong? Booking.com India please look into this. The person there managing resort don’t have respect for Indians. He is racist.

My room had a great view of Mount Abang and Lake Batur. The sunrise and morning view of this was just amazing.
Also the property is situated among farmlands and is more quieter compared to the main tourist areas such as Ubud and Kuta in Bali.
The hosts - Joni and wife and the whole family (they own the other guest houses in the area too- making the place feel safer since everyone knows each other) - were very helpful with arranging my tours especially for Mount Batur (had a full tour of this volcano and not just the sunrise and it was one of best tours I have done), and personally took me on a day tour to popular tourist spots nearby such as Batur UNESCO geo park (where you get a scenic view of Mount Batur), Santi Agro Wista (where I had a tour of how they produce coffee and free coffee and tea tasting), Tirta Empul (a popular Hindu temple), Batur Hot Springs, and one of the best restaurants “Waroeng D’yoni” for lunch.
While the property is somewhat remote and takes travel time. The accommodation and services were exceptional.
Other than the flies that bother you when you try to eat your food which is not the hosts fault since they are situated in a rural area, everything was exceptional and good.

Hosts organised Mt Batur sunset hike for the morning after our stay. Went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable, provided breakfast, snacks, tea and coffee before/after our hike. Organised transport to our next hotel.
During the afternoon there are many flies around the rooms, obviously due to fault of the hosts but meant we ate in our room and couldn't walk around the property until 6pm. Understand it can't be helped!
