Casa do Bouço Velho for 4 people

Casa do Bouço Velho is a small house on the river bank, it has a beautiful garden and a private pool. The house is clean, equipped with everything that you might need. I especially liked the pool. The water is very clean (probably thanks to the natural flow through?) and refreshing. I was greeted with a bottle of fine Douro wine which I really appreciated. Communication with the host was very smooth. Instructions for locating the property, checking in and out were clear. There are many scenic spots, hiking trails and other similar attractions nearby; a nature lover will never get bored there. And Aveiro with its Michelin grade restaurant (plus other fine restaurants) and three fine tennis courts with hard cover is just 45 minutes away (well, actually an hour, if you are not very experienced driving on the mountain roads). I highly recommend this property

A secret delight hidden in the valley just up from the dam lake, a real nature hideaway, tucked into the hillside down from an authentic Portuguese village in the mountains. Perfect holiday spot with immaculate pool & facilities. Beautiful garden picturesque rustic villa. A view to die for across to the mountain with only a few twinkly lights. Tranquility, local shop but supermarket at Sever do Vouga, a scenic trip of 45 mins well spent. Plenty of fabulous views. We weren’t here long enough & will be back to explore more.

Breathtaking scenery, a beautiful swimming pool set in an amazing garden. The house although only small had everything we needed for a relaxing tranquil holiday. We have no hesitation in recommending this hidden gem to all wishing for a peaceful time. The nearby village provided all essentials , locals very friendly and portugese food delicous. É com muito prazer que deixo a minha opinião sobre este alojamento. O espaço é muito mais bonito do que o apresentado nas imagens (aliás, foi o primeiro comentário que fiz ao proprietário mal cheguei). A sala não possui um só sofá, mas dois, o que julgo ser importante mencionar já que a habitação está devidamente preparada para pelo menos 6 pessoas. O exterior junto à piscina não possui guarda-sol mas existe um lindo espaço debaixo do castanheiro com muita sombra todo o dia. Penso que a única coisa que falta são colchões para as duas espreguiçadeiras junto à piscina,mas nada de significante. De resto tanto a casa como os arredores são magníficos, existem percursos pedestres muito bonitos e se alguém procura privacidade e sossego, então encontrou o espaço certo... para não falar obviamente da simpatia e acolhimento dos proprietários e das ofertas de produtos da terra com que fomos prendados durante toda a nossa estadia. Agradecemos tudo isto e prometemos voltar um dia!
