Magic at The Mount - Mt Maunganui Downstairs Unit

Very cute, set up was simple, mix of modern and old school.

No air con/ enough fans for the place so was very warm in the afternoons.

Easy to locate & access. Bathroom/shower was very good. Decor was nice. Kitchen well equiped although we did not cook. Was plenty big enough for two people. Two sisters travelling so its usually difficult to get two bedrooms and/or two double beds. Good to have Washing Machine.

Beds were not really comfortable. Couch also not too comfortable. Kitchen tap water pressure was almost non existant. No Sky Sports.

Property had a damp/mouldy odour

The property was big enough for a 3 adults and provided the basics to be comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked, ample towels for provided, even a selection of books. They were nice touches. The welcome pack was very informative

There was a lot of spiders, we could keep the doors and windows open as there were spiders everywhere. The outdoor couch also had a few spiders so we didn’t use it. We found a bowl with a dead bug in it. The kitchen tap was unusable, the water pressure was so little. While the location is a quick walk to the beach, it’s not walking distance to the town. Depends on what you are after. For the price, I think we could have stayed closer to the town.
