Tucked away from the hustle and bustle yet still within easy walking distance of downtown Bar Harbor, this bright and lovely home on the edge of Glen Mary Park will bring comfort and convenience to your next Mount Desert Island escape. This home occupies one half of a duplex, offering an ideal home base for your hiking, kayaking, and cycling adventures in and around Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park.

Enter this two-story home on the ground floor, where the inviting living room features plush sofas, a flatscreen TV, and large windows with a view of the park. Toss the day's clothes in the private washer/dryer and head into the kitchen offering plentiful wood cabinetry to store your favorite snacks, every essential appliance (including a dishwasher), and an adjacent dining space. Just outside the sliding glass doors is the back deck, where you can get the gas grill going for dinner and listen to the ocean breezes rustling through the trees.

The Village Green, a wide assortment of charming restaurants and shops, and the oceanfront Bar Harbor Shore Path can all be found downtown, just half a mile away. Acadia National Park and the Park Loop Road are also nearby, with a stop for the free park shuttle just a 12-minute walk from the house (allowing you to avoid the hassles of driving and parking at Acadia's most famous landmarks).

Loved the location to town and Acadia

This location was comfortable, clean, and offered easy access to the downtown area of Bar Harbor, as well as the Acadia National Park entrances. We had enough space for three of us, including the number of bathrooms, lounging in the living area, cooking in the kitchen, and sitting out on the deck. I would recommend this space to anyone wanting to visit the area.

Awesome location,Acadia is an absolutely gorgeous area to explore. The house was not far from the park or the harbor/ downtown area. Highly recommend.

House upstairs smelled like dog and dirty feet . Stains on the carpet , blinds that did not roll up / work in the master . Mattress in master was like a rock . Owners need to stay at their place to understand why these things need to be changed . Downstairs couch was uncomfortable and place needs a broom and febreeze . Weird rotten smell downstairs . Deserves 3 stars only bc of location to town
