Built at the turn of the century and thoughtfully updated with modern comfort in mind, this charming home will give you a wonderful glimpse of historic Bar Harbor. Here on the edge of Glen Mary Park on the southwest side of the village, you'll be able to walk to the heart of downtown, the oceanfront shore path, and Acadia National Park.

Upon entering this single-level home, you'll be greeted by the original front porch with wrap-around walls of glass that frame views of neighboring Glen Mary Park. Step inside to find a living room for some great family conversations, a full kitchen with white appliances (including a dishwasher for stress-free clean-up), and an adjacent dining room where you can sit down for homemade meals. Toss the day's clothes in the private washer/dryer, head outside for a barbecue on the gas grill and an al fresco dinner on the fenced-in back patio, and end the evening with a movie on the flatscreen TV in the family room. When it's time to turn in, you'll have four bedrooms to choose from - a master bedroom with a queen-size bed, another queen bedroom, and two bedrooms with a pair of twin beds apiece.

As others have said - the place could use a little upkeep- especially the walls (marks / chipped paint ) and the blinds/curtains. One of the rooms with a queen didn’t have AC (they updated the listing but just be aware depending on time of year you are going). Lots of space for 6 of us and the location is awesome to walk into town and avoid the parking ! So for location alone I would stay there again.

We loved Bar Harbor. The house is walkable to the town square. It was quiet and has off street parking. Management responded quickly to a maintenance concern. The kitchen had what we needed. Wi-Fi for 7 people was tough but we liked our stay.

Great location and all on one floor!

The home is pretty old, which is ok, but some things were really run down. A chair inside was ripped, when you sit in one of the couches, you sink almost to the floor! The beds were comfortable, the air conditioners worked, we had hot water. We wanted to sit outside at the table and chairs in the backyard, but there was bird poop on the cushions, and we flipped them over but the underneath side of the cushion was in worse shape! Very dirty! We realized after we got there that this home is owned by a college and they rent to students in this house, so the care the college has given the house is probably minimal. However you run your business is up to you, but we spent around 3000 for 4 nights…too expensive for what we got. The house was convenient to downtown Bar Harbor…which was the biggest plus of this house. I would never stay here again though.
