La Collina

Strávili jsme zde týden pěkné a klidné dovolené s dětmi. Dům je v klidné lokalitě - nikdo vás neruší (jen rano je slyšet štěkající psy, ale nás to nijak nerušilo). Krásný, čistý a velký bazén. Všechny pokoje byli útulné. Praktická je kuchyň v přízemí v blízkosti venkovního sezení a bazénu.

V horních pokojích potřebují vyčistit klimatizace (při používání zapáchaly)

This stay couldn't be more Toscana! The house is situated at the end of the asphalted road (further is only gravel as you go into the bushy area, make sure to check your navigation to NOT take this road from the highway as your car will be completely covered in dust). There is literally nobody around. When you enter the garden through the gates, you can literally not see any other houses, just an uninterrupted view of hills, trees, the sky and birds flying. It's about 20 minutes to Siena, but there are endless smaller beautiful places about 10 to 15 minutes away. Obviously major wine houses like Castello Banfi are easily reachable, it's situated nicely in the middle of many great places no matter in which direction you go. A 5 minute drive will bring you into Casciano where you have a Bottega supermarket which basically sells all you need, so the location was perfect for us. The house is typical Italian. Charming, old from outside and in, but that's how most houses are in the region. The bathroom is modern, there are 3 living area's, 4 bedrooms, so more than enough space. Most areas also remain pretty cool as the walls are really thick and there are double shades on the outside of the house. Obviously there is also airco in the important places. A separate topic is the outside. It is so beautiful.... the trees and plants in the garden, the multiple terraces and especially the swimming pool. The pool is large and from there you have such a great view across the valley, the garden, the house, everything. Nobody can see you, it feels like everything you see is yours. We will definitely go back to this house again when we are in the region, highly recommended!

The setting was quiet and peaceful. A spacious property with excellent hosts.

Very few restaurants nearby. Could have done with a toaster.
