About this house rental
Shiva is a charming private house, recently renovated in the Center of Mérida. It is a very beautiful place, decorated with a Hindu touch, with lots of light, a very beautiful terrace, its own pool and very special details in every corner that make you connect with the essence of the city.
The location of the house is unbeatable, it is surrounded by very good restaurants, museums and markets, 4 blocks from the center of Mérida, 5 blocks from the bus station, and 14 blocks from Av. Principal Paseo de Montejo.
The airport is 15 minutes away by car and the bus station is 5 blocks away.
In our space we welcome all people, regardless of ethnic origin, sex, age or sexual orientation. We value what makes us unique and what unites us as human beings.
Important: For the safety of the place and everyone, we will ask for the official identification of the person who has reserved.
Parking: Most of the houses in downtown Mérida do not have parking, as they have a very old design. However, around the house there is a private parking lot where you can park without problem (it charges 50 MXN per day).
Cleaning: In order to keep your space clean and with good energy, stays longer than 7 days will be cleaned (every seventh day) and 200 MXN pesos will be charged in cash.
Climate: Merida has a hot and very humid climate, so it is very easy to find insects and although the house is constantly fumigated there is always the possibility of finding some, especially ants.
Solar heaters: We use solar heaters to heat the water because we like to take care of nature. Therefore it can happen on very few occasions (if there is no sun for several days), that the water does not come out very hot.

very easy arrival, this house is not tiny, it is so spacious and inviting. decorating details are beautiful. the little pool is big enough to swim a little, and is a little oasis in this city. about 8 blocks from the central plaza and easily walkable. we loved to neighbourhood cardenal cantina. can't recommend this place enough!! we'll be back!!! gracias mario y ela!!!!

Interesting decor; Hindu motif. We enjoyed the pool. Appliances appeared new; one thing couldn't figure out was how to run the dryer machine...washing machine & dryer in one. The stay in general quite pleasant; neighborhood was another thing. Too many vacant homes that don't add appeal. Great location; walking distant to downtown Cathedral.

Great location for a few days in Merida. Walking distance to many attractions and great restaurants.
The place is lovely with a private oasis plunge pool for cooling off. No street noise while sleeping and fans and ac kept us cool. We had everything we needed to make breakfast there but ate other meals out.
Had no problems parking our rental car out front of the tiendita next door.
All questions promptly answered. Great communication.

This place was amazing all around. The check in process was a breeze, when we checked in the house was clean and were immediately given access to high speed internet. The first thing we did was take a dip in the pool. The pool was clean and the perfect size. It is a 10 minute walk from the main square (Plaza Grande) and pretty much anything else you need. We were able to walk to a new coffee shop every morning, more restaurants than we could try, hundreds of shops, and the main bus station. They had coffee, towels, and potable water already there. Having a washer/dryer was invaluable as we changed outfits multiple times a day due to the heat.This place really is the perfect place for anyone wanting to experience Mérida. My wife and I will be coming back to Mérida and we hope to be able to stay here again.
