About this house rental
After managing one of Merida's most booked short term rental villas for the past several years, Casa Escalera al Cielo - we decided to acquire the neighboring property to allow more guest the opportunity to stay in such an amazing location across from one of Merida's most beautiful church and park squares. These properties are the ONLY residential short term rentals that are located directly across from ANY of Merida's centro churches and squares! La Ermita Suites have been updated to U.S. standards and plumbing to allow the conviences of home while traveling abroad. This apartment is a single level home with 2 queen beds that will allow up to 4 guest to rest and relax comfortably. Enjoy the rear private patio in the morning as the tropical birds fly over head and have your first cup of coffee under the palms. This home is equipped with with air conditioning to make sure you enjoy your time in the Yucatan and beat the Merida heat! Don't forget that the splash pool is always an inviting place to relax after a busy day, whether exploring the city or ancient Mayan ruins! For those of us who need stay connected to reality, WiFi is provided so you can stay up to date or turn on the 55 inch smart TV and catch the latest show on your Netflix account. The kitchen was well equiped and clean. The water cooler was really appreciated , saving us from having to bring bottles every few days. There was a bakery nearby, but the grocery store was further. We just took an Uber to the Chedraui store. We liked the neighbourhood with the church and the park . A real sense of community. There are some restaurants very nearby as well. The one drawback is the fact that it is on a main road and could be quite noisy. This does not really interfere unless you are in the kitchen. The rest of the house is very quiet due to the heavy doors. The landscaping. in the backyard pool area was really well done. Actually , we liked how the house was furnished and decorated. A comfortable stay.

It's a wonderful place to have as a base while you are visiting Merida, and then go back and relax on their beautiful outdoor patio. They were excellent at making sure we had a comfortable stay. We would definitely go back. The only note is that the mattresses are way too firm for our taste.

Host was in regular contact up until we arrived, then handed us over to the property manager, who was always immediately available to answer our questions

Second time renting this charming apartment suite with private entrance, full size kitchen, living room and absolutely adorable backyard complete with pool. Love the neighborhood, easy walk to center, shops, food, etc. The view of the church is stunning and the neighborhood is has opened a few new shops in just the last few years. You can’t beat the price for all that you get with this apartment!
