Nice house lay out and conservatory.

When we arrived the property had not been cleaned! There was washing up in the kitchen, water stains on the sides, 30th birthday confetti in the living room and dead flies in the conservatory. When we went upstairs there were used towels hanging on the door frames, the beds weren’t made, stains on the sheets and there were clips and clothes tags on the side and on the floor. The bathroom wasn’t clean especially sink holes and taps, hairs on the floor and no toilet roll. We contacted the property right away and they said they would have someone over within a few hours and would be sorted before ‘bedtime’ at this point it was 6pm and after we spent hours travelling to this place not what we wanted to hear. So we walked to a shop 5 minutes away and got toilet roll and then had to go out for dinner (without showing as no clean towels). We went out as the place wasn’t clean and especially with Covid we didn’t want to stay in the property. We returned at 11pm and all was sorted. As we paid over £400 for 2 nights this really wasn’t acceptable so we asked for part of our money back, specifically the £100 cleaning fee included in the cost of the stay, they agreed to reimburse at least £50 but would check with management about refunding the full amount, they then didn’t reply to my next 3 messages and then refused to reimburse anything and tried to accuse me of blackmailing them into giving money back. It’s just rude and a crazy accusation when they provided us with a filthy property during the middle of a pandemic. Safe to say I certainly do not recommend this property. I also want to add the beds and flimsy and have wooden panels on the end so if you are over 6ft you don’t fit, my partner had an uncomfortable stay, you also can’t stand up in the dining room if you are over 6ft as they have it on a raised level.

We did not see our hosts but I'm sure they saw us,Our hosts had cctv cameras everywhere,including a camera in the sitting room where we had a family reunion. This is against the law and an invasion of privacy. I'm taking legal advice on this .

Good sized property, comfortable seating & beds

Poorly maintained, inadequate & dirty crockery & cutlery. Not very clean throughout,dirty underwear from previous occupant left under bed, toilet seat, bathroom radiator & inside bathroom door splashed with nasty undesirable stains. The lack of maintenance to the electrics very concerning. The main access to the property quite hazardous - not helped by the lack of decent lighting to outside entrance when dark.

The house is easy to find, lovely and cosy with nice facilities. the owners took our last minute booking after a cancellation and we were most grateful

there are lots of little things needing fixed. it needs some tlc. It is worth knowing that access is down steep steps and / or steep driveway

A small part of the railing on the stairs was broken, which I did not know about before arrival, but this did not affect my stay there in general.

comfortable beds and furniture. lovely conservatory. lovely enclosed rear garden.

a little bit worn but was perfect for what we wanted. so many unlabelled remote controls!
