An amazing apartment. Text host directly for actual requirements and details after booking.

The location and the apartment are both outstanding. I've used booking.com to arrange >70 stays. This was one of the most interesting and mostly in a good way. The kitchen is well equipped. The coffee machine is great. The decor and design of the apartment are amazing. The host responds quite promptly to texts. The apartment is quiet, at least when we visited in Nov 2023. Some nice restaurants and shops. Great seafood, either in restaurants or in shops if you like cooking. It was a memorable stay. This property takes some extra work to get into and use in our experience. But this is well worth the effort, and the host, in our experience, is quite gracious. And please respect this very nice property as the previous visitors have done.

The large amount of misleading information provided by booking.com The check-in times and the security deposit information were wrong. There is no information exchange between booking.com and the host except to transfer the accommodation fee. After texting the host we learned: A 500 euro check deposit with a self addressed stamped envelope is required. There is a key fob in a lock box at the door. The door is very sticky, put the fob in the right place and there is a beep, then immediately push very hard. The door will open. You are expected to bring your own towels. There are no dish cloths. You do not have to check-in in the 2-hour window listed on booking.com. The host graciously waived the deposit requirement as we only found out the day we arrived from the US. Our recommendations: Contact the host early and directly on the cell number provided to sort out the details, especially if you are traveling from overseas. If necessary text and use a translator app such as deepL, to cut and past text. Other notes: be careful on the stairs - no railing and the top two steps are different heights compared to the rest of the lower steps. Google the induction stove to find a youtube video on the controls.

Fancy apartment, great location, terrible for families with children. + Information not so accurate

The location is amazing. As it is, the apartment is beautiful and fancy.

It is the worst place to have a vacation with children, the owner has filled it with many fancy and expensive stuff that are either easy to be damaged or dangerous for children. The stairs are dangerous for children and adults carrying babies. I spent most of the trip stressed about taking care of everything (children and stuff). Beside this, the owner ask us to leave it as we found it, which I would expect from Airbnb's rentals but not from booking's rentals (even its price is much higher than other similar apartment in either booking or Airbnb platforms). On the other hand, the apartment is announced as a three room apartment, when we arrive the owner has closed one of them as he was not notified that my older child was with us (also he assumed the two adults were sleeping together). That is false information, even if I am one adult and accept to pay the fee for a three-bedroom apartment, I should get that and not an apartment with one room available. At the end, we got the key of the other room and had to set it up by ourselves (we never found the pillow cases), which is unacceptable, specially for the relative high price we payed. In addition, the apartment lacks the small details that creates the feeling of welcome, even soap were missing or a table cloth for the beautiful table or any intro information.

Amazing apartment, maybe not for young families

Property is very well located for Concarneau centre which is lovely. Wonderful accommodation for adults. Very clean, incredibly spacious with very comfy beds, nice bathroom and enormous TV. Affordable luxury.

Not the most practical in some ways, especially for young family. Open-sided staircase, big TVs, hi-tech kitchen not everyone could operate. felt so new and spotless we didn't eat in there or go to beach for fear of making anything dirty. Seagulls might wake you up early.

Superb

Terrific position for exploring Concarneau and the coastline. We parked the car and could walk everywhere we wanted to go on our short stay.

Not that keen on the open staircase to the bedrooms but we are all of a certain age and could have done with a proper handrail, that is not a criticism just an observation.

L’appartement est très joli et soigné et confortable.

Il manquait quelques assiettes et bols et tasses ordinaires pour 4 personnes. Le fait qu’il n’y ait pas de quoi se laver les mains en arrivant est dommage. Il manquait un ventilateur dans chaque chambre. Le bar dans la rue en bas est très bruyant, cela peut être gênant. Et il manque quelques informations sur le fonctionnement des divers appareils et quelques conseils sur la région.

Lits inconfortables. Manque de place dans les placards, trop d’effets personnels. Pas d’eau chaude dans les lavabos. Escalier dangereux sans garde corps ni rambarde. Les serviettes de toilettes ne sont pas fournis.
