We prefer a quiet more peaceful vacation. Unfortunately, there was loud construction noise right close next door. Loud saws, large machinery moving and beeping loud when backing up. When I informed the host she said there was nothing she could do and out of her control and she would make note of it. It woke us up each morning and sitting on the deck was very loud. One day it was so loud me and my husband couldn’t hear each other talk. I took videos of how loud it was and sent them to the host. She said she was there last week and it wasn’t that loud. I sent videos it was very loud this week, I can’t speak for last week. She also said no one else complained and told me to go and enjoy the beach. Not once did she say she was sorry. As a host she was rude. I called VRBO and they understood and got the host, Vrbo and me on a call. She was argumentative and somehow got disconnected but never reached out to call me back. If she would have told me upfront about the construction noise and let me decide to book then that would be ok. Just a shame our vacation wasnt the peaceful and relaxing we wanted. Her listing says secluded it isn’t. We asked about if it was private and not many people and she said it was private, it isn’t. But we can deal with that but not the noise. The host was not sympathetic or said she was sorry once. Very disappointed.
