About this house rental
While we lovingly refer to our home up north as "The Cabin" it is far from just a cabin. Cottage on the outside, cabin on the inside, this home has it all! LAKE, ORV trails, a stunning home, and best of all you can bring your fur babies (dogs only - $100/dog). Ramp to front porch for more accessibility. Pontoon boat (10 person, 25 hp) available to rent $650 per week. This unique 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath home is located on Little Island Lake and is less than 0.5 miles from the ORV trails (Sand Lake ORV Trailhead). When the lake level is normal, we have a large sandy swimming area. Additionally, our cabin is located approximately 10 minutes from Corsair Trails, for hiking and groomed cross-country skiing. Only 20 minutes from Red Hawk Golf club in East Tawas. Be sure to check out Lumberman's Monument and Largo Springs in Oscoda. Enjoy the peace and quiet of this lake front home as you sit on the deck and enjoy your morning coffee. Lake side deck also has a patio table and Weber gas grill allowing you to enjoy nice summer evenings with family and friends. Little Island Lake is shallow with a sandy bottom bottom along the shore and island. We have a large sandy beach and sand toys for kids. Rental includes kayak’s (2), paddle boards (2), and corn hole. We have a baby gate already up at the bottom of the stairs, a booster seat to strap onto a chair, a pack n’ play, and a step stool in the bathroom for kids. Max of 10 people (not including infants

The place was perfect! It was very clean and had just about anything you need. The lake was just right for the kids. They loved the boat, kayaks and paddle boards. I think the highlights for the boys were fishing off the dock and the pontoon. We all had a great time. I would definitely go back!

The house was very nice, was pretty clean in general. Washer & dryer was nice to have did lots of laundry! Tried to have all the sheets & blankets done on check out day but with early check out time wasn’t able to did leave 1 load in washer & 1 in dryer. Loft upstairs was huge could easily be 2 rooms but it worked as is for the kids & their 20 something aunt. Sandy beach was nice, water well… we go up north to swim, float, etc but the sandy bottom was covered in brownish algae? Cleared it up a bit with a lot of raking but there was also seaweed at end of dock. Lake depth is under 8 feet (yes total) didn’t see sand bottom anywhere on our pontoon rides all black. Was great having the pontoon (weekly rate great too) Lots of atv action flying up & down the street we brought a small 4 wheeler & mini bike which we only used the first weekend. The trails were a 1/2 mile away & more for larger vehicles but the kids still had fun checking it out. There is a large grassy area next to the cottage which we assumed was part of the property since the neighbors had a small fence dividing their property from it the kids did ride up it to the street & though I was right there the neighbors called the owner to complain instead of talking to me. We only used the driveway after. Nice they allow pets our shepherd enjoyed swimming and jumping off the dock. on our pontoon rides.
