Panoramic Terraces with Sea & Old Town View Ostuni Style

This is a super house just inside the centro historico area. We parked at Parcheggio Pinto and paid via Easypark app as there was rarely any free street parking available nearby. It is about 8 mins walk uphill to the house, Paola can give you exact instructions – we found Google maps often got confused in the gorgeous labyrinth of alleyways and steps in Ostuni! Entry is by keycode provided by Paola who we did not meet, but she was very responsive to any queries. My wife and I just loved the narrow house which has steps up to bedroom, bathroom and sitting area, then more up to kitchen and shower room with additional wc, then there is a terrace with bamboo shading with table and chairs, up more steps to the open rooftop terrace with small table, 2 chairs and 2 sunloungers. A perfect place for evening aperitifs, watching the swifts fly past and taking in the views of the old city and the sea. Magical. Each terrace also has a small sink with cold water. The great thing is that everywhere has been well lit with sturdy handrails so even at 77 we found the stairs no problem. The house has been ingeniously planned (even a washing machine secured in a wall niche as you go up the stairs!) The bed was very comfortable, air con is quiet and effective, adjustable shutters on each window as well as fly screens if needed. Although we were so central on the Piazza Libertad with bars and restaurants there was never an issue with noise. It is beautifully curated throughput with interesting and attractive furnishings, and all the equipment you could need as a guest (including a sun umbrella for the beach). Overall we highly recommend Panoramic Terraces Ostuni style, and the book of the house is very comprehensive. Ostuni itself is a very lovely place and access to the seaside is easy.

The only minor drawbacks could be the stone stairs, not suitable for the very young or anyone with real mobility issues; the rather slow wifi; lack of local convenience stores for groceries. We drove a bit out of town to the very good Familia supermarket. It is inconvenient that guests are required to dispose of their own rubbish when leaving – there is doorstop collection each but that does not work for a short stay. We tried but failed to find proper recycling bins at the Eurospin supermarket as suggested in the house book, so had to use any town bins we could find.

Perfect location right in the centre and free parking close by. The house was wonderful- a real home from home. The terraces had spectacular views

Not suitable for somebody with bad knees or over 6 ft tall.

Emplacement exceptionnel. Équipements supers. Paola très disponible. Literie très bonne. Café à dispo, vue sensationnelle. Volets qui arrêtent le bruit.

Parfait pour nous mais ne pas prendre par quelqu’un qui n’est pas en forme (escaliers raides pour accéder à l’appartement et aux étages). Amende en déchargeant notre voiture et pourtant c’était en période verte :-(
