Fantastic location, wonderful staff, gorgeous accommodation, spectacular breakfast this was far and away the best city accommodation I’ve stayed in, hence the effusive adjectives!! Margaret’s, Kari and Alima all contributed to a lovely 2 night stopover ahead of my cruise. The breakfast was delightful, with dishes of chopped melon and nectarine, slices of prosciutto and cheese, tiny toasted sandwiches, yoghurt, fresh croissants (with fresh cream available!) as well as a gorgeous selection of cakes and biscuits and a choice of blood orange juice or carrot and orange. My room was up in the eaves and I had such good sleeps here, bed was really comfy and the shower was plenty powerful too. The location was ideal, I stepped out and in front of me was the famous Torre Cívica leaning like the tower of Pisa and beyond only a few yards were streets and squares full of restaurants and shops. Casa Gugu genuinely ticked every box for me ❤️ and it’s also on the pick up list for transfers to the cruise terminal. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

It wasn’t a problem for me but there are 2 floors above ground level and no lift so it may not be suitable for those with reduced mobility (or extra heavy suitcases!)

Location-was very close to most of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The staff were exceptional and very welcoming. We arrived early after a very long flight from the US and we were allowed to check in early. That was a godsend for us. We were greeted warmly and were made sure that all of our needs were met. The next morning, we had a very nice breakfast. The hostess arranged us a ride to the cruise terminal as well. Our first experience in Italy was very pleasant. We would 100% recommend Casa Gugù.
