Just Amazing!!!!

The property is immaculate, with great attention to details to make you enjoy and feel the beauty of the place. Hikmet and Karolin made it even more spectacular, from the moment we booked our room, they were in contact with us. They planned our whole three day’s itinerary; including sunset jeep, balloons, private day tour with a vey knowledgeable guide, sunset UTV, and reservations to the best restaurants. During our stay, they were always in contact making sure we were taken care of. Hikmet even accommodated an afternoon of shopping with the help of his brother Omer, who is also fluent in Spanish. Overall we had a great experience, and would highly recommend this property to anyone, we’ll definitely go back.

Unforgettable, for all the wrong reasons.

The location and the hotel's appearance is beautiful. The builders have created an amazing labyrinth of rooms with passages that connect the caves to corridors and outdoor balconies. Each time we returned to the hotel it was a wonderful challenge to find our way back to our room. We could also walk down to the closest town and dine at local Turkish restaurants and watch the locals.

Don't know where to start. On arrival, we were advised that we had been upgraded to a Topkapi suite. I booked and paid for a Topkapi suite, so I thought they must have mistaken who we were. A Topkapi suite has two rooms - one with a king bed, a private balcony(see photo with our suitcase showing how small the balcony was), a sitting room and a hot tub. We had to climb up an incredibly steep set of steps to discover that the second room had been setup with another 4 beds, that furniture had been removed from this room and relocated to the king bedroom blocking the access to the wardrobe, that the bathroom had toiletry supplies for 5 people, that the writing desk was jammed pack with supplies for 5 people, that we could not sit on the couch and watch the TV as it had been converted into a bed, I started thinking..... okay this room was setup for a group of 5 and for whatever reason, they had declined the room and taken ours. The caves are designed so that the air funnels upwards, and on our first night the kitchen's exhaust system vented into our room, and the smell was overwhelmingly sickening. From 2am onwards the cooking smells were over powering. We saw tradesman the next day working on the rooftop venting panels, so we suspected that something had broken down. At breakfast the next day, I was amazed at how extensive the buffet was, and took some small pancakes. They were old. I then took a small danish, and it too was old and stale. Over the next few mornings I noted that although the breakfast was extensive, they just kept putting out the same old food. We eat sparingly from the buffet - so it was very disappointing. The hotel accommodates large tour groups, and they all have breakfast at the same time, so you get pushed and jostled as these package tour people frantically eat their breakfast, so that they can all get on the tour bus, to be driven around as many sites as possible in the one day. We tried to raise our concerns, but the staff blanked us.

Amazing stay, very personalised care provided by the staff and great amenities

Everything was amazing, the staff were very caring asking us if we need anything or if there was something to make our stay better. We ended up doing a balloon ride that the hotel organised, as well as a Turkish hamam experience which was incredibly relaxing and professional. The pool and spa are very clean and the restaurants (yes there are multiple) were great. I fully recommend this hotel, you definitely won’t be disappointed!

My stay in Utopia Cave hotel exceeded my expectations. The service was exceptional. Before my stay Karolin sent me a message answering all my questions and making sure I had everything I needed. The property was serene. The staff was very helpful and polite. Hikmat at the front desk was amazing. He helped us with last minute reservations for activities and everything that he planned was exceptional quality. He communicated throughout and was available for all concerns. I would love to revisit and will highly recommend Utopia to friends and family. Truly a 5 star experience!!

Royalty & exceptional service

Absolutely fantastic… We were treated like royalty. Hikmet went out of his way to make it more comfortable for us & he’s the perfect guy to arrange all activities like Balloon flight & horse riding etc etc. The hotel staff made it so easy for us and everything seemed to be perfect. I would like to commend Hikmet for his very generous hospitality and excellent service in providing and arranging mostly everything for our stay especially the tour around Cappadocia. Our room was beautifully appointed—immaculately clean, spacious, and incredibly comfortable. Beautiful hotel & premium quality guest services

We had an amazing stay at Utopia, and would highly recommend the hotel. The whole hotel is stunning and great attention to detail has been made to ensure that all the facilities are high quality - we loved the spa and wellness centre. Our room was also prepared beautifully and cleaned on a daily basis. The staff made the whole experience definitely feel worthy of 5 stars, especially Hikmet the guest manager who arranged all our trips and was incredibly welcoming & helpful - answering any questions at all times of the day. We would love to come back some day!

A very good and memorable stay

I liked the friendly attitude of the staff. They made me feel welcome and responded to all my request. Big thank you to Hikmet who not only arranged a fantastic tour but also got us a discount. He offered to upgrade my room when told him that sofa bed was not so comfortable.

English friends abroad

We had a fantastic stay. Every member of staff greeted us and helped us (when needed). They were happy and smiley people. The hotel was beautiful.The breakfast, dining and bars were all really delicious with lits of choices and The Spa staff and services were also lovely. We could not fault a thing.

Fabulously comfortable stay with every-smiling, friendly and accommodating staff

We got a free upgrade to an executive room which was huge with a big and deep tub - didn't have time to use it. The fact its a cave hotel adds to the charm. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Betty, with whom I had been in touch to organise some tours was very helpful with facts and honest opinions. The hotel has a cafe and restaurant so you'll never be thirsty or hungry. The spa is free to use to hotel guests with a surprise Turkish Spa included - we loved using those facilities. Massages are extra, again we didn't use. Betty helped book a private tour which was a mix of the green and red tour as we had just one day and it was lovely. Her friend Irem who is also an approved tourist guide was very friendly and informative and we gained a lot of knowledge of all the places we visited because of her. Betty also helped organise a Whirling Dervish and Turkish Night tour with a taxi and suggested a lovely place for Turkish Dinner. She said guests' reviews of dinner at the Turkish Night wasn't great so we had dinner elsewhere. On the whole, our stay our Utopia was very comfortable and pleasant. Their breakfast had good Turkish choices too.

The exec room could have been better lit - it was dark with faint lighting. We had to pay for airport public shuttle one way - given the cost of hotel rooms and that we were staying there for 3 nights, it would've helped to have free airport shuttle both ways. It was 20Euros per person and we were three of us. The cost of hot air balloon rides was quoted as 300/350 euros pp if the hotel booked it for us. We booked it cheap downtown for 180 euros pp

I would do it all over again!!

Utopia was amazing with their hosting. I had a long flight and I arrived being tired, sleep deprived and hungry. Betty at the reception was super kind/ thoughtful to offer me free breakfast before I headed to my room even though it wasn’t included for that day. Some other guy at the reception gave me a great restaurant’s recommendation to enjoy my dinner at the next day… and I also made friend’s with another girl at the reception named Rain.. she was a sweetheart too! Everyone at the reception were super friendly, kind and accommodating. More than the hotel it’s the people who made this place lovely to be at!

The welcome was very warm and friendly. We arrived late during the evening and they were expecting us and it was nice when they welcomed us by name. The room was absolutely cozy and beautiful. Especially the Concierge, Betül, was very helpful. She even assisted us on her day off. Absolutely stunning and romantic hotel!

Brilliant location

The room was brilliantly designed…but the stylish lighting was so dim we could not easily see to read. The layout of the hotel was excellent with lots of lovely spots to sit, drink and relax

The restaurant food was very good. But the staff seemed disorganised, and not always showing initiative. One person said there was no food at the outside bar…another brought us menu! Service in the bars was slow. Often we had to wait for someone to pay the bill. It was not clear what was open at what times..certainly not displayed anywhere. How could a bar runout of Effes? And no Turkish substitute be offered? Lots of staff trading needed to make this a 5 star location.

Very good stay overall despite some small hiccups, thoroughly enjoyed it

Excellent breakfast and meal options. Love the terrace bar. Loved the cave style room with its beautiful bathroom. Friendly staff who helped with the tour and cab bookings easily.

The room could have been better air conditioned. The hotel did not deal in credit cards - only cash which was difficult since we had to walk 10 minutes to an atm(which didnt have much cash in it) to withdraw it

Book your own tours as it is somewhat unreliable booking through the hotel directly. Spa doesn't open until noon and closes at 10pm or so. Wish it was open longer.
