We spent a lovely time at Dimora Fantasia. Donatello is a wonderful host and he made sure we were comfortable at all times. One day we had to leave early and he made sure that we were accommodated earlier for breakfast. Marianna also assisted us very well during our stay. Excellent location and clean rooms

The breakfast was fine and the place was very clean. Bed was comfortable and the room was spacious.
First of all, only stay here if you need to be near the train station. There is nothing else to recommend being in this part of Bari; it's walkable to the old part of town but it's not picturesque. The place is on a side street and despite what the listing says, it does not have free parking available unless you would consider street parking in NYC or San Francisco to be free parking (good luck finding a spot). There is a paid garage right across the street for 20 Euros. Second, the manager/owner is not there when you arrive but sends you the code to get in the doors and find your own room -- rather cold. He is there to serve breakfast in the morning but he didn't really communicate with us. Third, the room we stayed in and the 2 others on the first floor had no windows to the outside, so it's like renting an interior room that could be anywhere in any building. Lastly, the AC in our room was definitely not working. It seemed warm so I set it for 20 degrees C (68 F) and it never moved the temp below 24 (75 F). When I mentioned this to the manager, he just said, "it feels okay to me."
I am stunned by all of the high ratings of this place. Would never have stayed here if they were accurate.
