Lovely boutique property. Had a great time

The team is very special with wonderful personalities at the reception (Rachel), bar (Thomas and Joye), breakfast (Jeet) and overall (Michael, Yusuf). We were very much spoiled and could enjoy everything to the max.

The rooms are absolutely amazing, clean, well furnished, comfortable as well as the gym, restaurants and the reception… very professional and warm.

There’s no beach… or outdoor activities worthwhile, all restaurants are very expensive, the food, drinks, etc. There’s beautiful views for some peace and quiet and the infinity pool is just amazing but there’s only so much to do outside the room which was disappointing.

The property is nice, with stylish, well-maintained rooms. The massage at the spa was excellent and was the highlight of our stay.

Our stay at Mango House was deeply disappointing. The property itself is nice, though not particularly memorable, but the service was an absolute nightmare. Everything started on our first day. We arrived excited because our stay on Praslin had been truly special, and we were looking forward to relaxing for a few days on Mahé. Upon check-in, we were asked to fill out a questionnaire where we clearly stated that we do not eat gluten, as my boyfriend has celiac disease. Unfortunately, this information was completely ignored throughout our entire stay. When we entered our room, we found a handwritten welcome note addressed to another guest. It had clearly been intended for a different room and a different person. I booked a facial treatment that was listed in the spa brochure available on the hotel’s website. The reception even confirmed my appointment via WhatsApp. When I arrived at the spa at the scheduled time, the therapist informed me that not only had my appointment never been booked, but the treatment I had chosen, along with three of the four treatments advertised in the brochure, was not even available. To make matters worse, the person replying to our WhatsApp messages from reception kept insisting that we had never confirmed the appointment, even while we were showing them the confirmation message they had sent us. We ended up booking a massage for the following day, and that was honestly the only wonderful part of our stay at Mango House. We tried all three restaurants in the hotel, as well as the poolside lunch menu. The pool lunch menu didn’t have a single gluten-free option. On the first day, we asked whether one of the sandwiches could be made gluten-free. Instead of offering gluten-free bread, they served it wrapped in a single sad lettuce leaf. That’s simply unacceptable for a five-star hotel. The service was consistently slow, inattentive, and lacking any sense of urgency. This was simply not the standard we expected from a five-star hotel.
