About this house rental

This stunning home is filled with comfortable, homey luxury – every detail crafted for your home at the beach. Tons of parking in the driveway and under the house and then up the stairs to the gorgeous main floor that features a huge open floor plan, with living room, dining room and well-equipped gourmet kitchen so everyone can hang out together, whether they’re cooking, eating, or relaxing in front of the 75” 4K TV. Right by the kitchen is laundry with a higher-end LG washer/dryer and a powder room. You will enjoy luxury upgrades like an outdoor shower, super-fast Comcast Gigabit internet to accommodate all your devices and every bedroom has its own QLED 4K Smart TV (streaming only and NO cable) (from 43” in the smallest room to 55” in the biggest), ultra-comfy Nectar mattresses, lots of closet and dresser space, ceiling fans, and lighting to accommodate any mood.

When it’s time to chill, there are five unique bedrooms. The main floor, just off the living room, has its own. The Blue Room is a king bedroom with a high king-size bed, private bath, a giant closet (big enough for a pack and play!) and sliding door to the screened in porch. The top floor has four bedrooms. The Shell Room is a king room with a private bath, including a deep, soaking tub and a sliding door to the upper back porch. The Beach Room is a king room, with a private bath, big closet and a top floor front porch with its own dining for two, accessible only from this room. Head down the hall to find two more bedrooms that share a spacious bathroom with a deep tub – the Relaxation Room with two twinXL beds and the Boat Room with its own entrance to the shared bath, as well as a sliding door to the back porch.

The main floor surprise is the screened in porch that extends the entire width of the house! Equipped with two outdoor ceiling fans, first-class Casual Comfort furniture, and a round picnic table,. The top floor has the open air twin to the main floor porch, accessible from the Shell and Boat rooms. The main floor also has a delightful front porch with a Weber gas grill and a lovely view of the canal.

All guests must supply their own sheets, towels and beach towels or OPT in for our linen rental package.

Guests must choose to purchase a $70 Vacation Rental Damage Insurance policy covering $3,000.00 in accidental damage, or pay a refundable security deposit of $2,000.00. Policies of a lesser amount are not acceptable. This amount will not be reflected in the quote amount on VRBO.

The property must be occupied for the entire rental period by the Guest signing the Lodging Agreement (Responsible Guest), and all occupants of the Property shall be supervised by the Responsible Guest. The Responsible Guest must be at least 25 years of age. If the party is made up of unrelated individuals (a group rental where the Responsible Guest is NOT the legal guardian/parent of any other guests), ALL guests occupying the property must be at least 25 years of age.

We accept Mastercard, Visa, American Express and Discover Credit Cards and eChecks for your initial deposit. We also accept personal checks for final payments. Final payments are due 30 days prior to your check-in date. NOTE: Any payments within 30 days of arrival require to be in certified funds or by credit card. You will be provided a link to a Guest Portal where you can securely make your payments online.

VRBO BOOKINGS: This property is hosted by the management company noted as Owner on VRBO. After booking the property you will be charged a booking fee by VRBO. ALL other fees and the rental amount will be charged by the management company and paid to the management company. Once you have booked you will be contacted by the management company and sent a Lodging Agreement that must be signed. Apart from Damage Protection, all fees associated with the booking are displayed in the VRBO booking.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My children and I spent the holidays at the beach and the property/house was the perfect location. It was close to the beach and to town. Lewes was a great place to stay during the holidays with all of the decorations displayed throughout the town. The house was perfect (it even had a small Christmas tree on the table). The house was great with lots of supplies for cooking and enjoying some R&R. Everything was perfect. Would come back and stay again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This home is very comfortable and was perfect for our family. We had our two girls and their husbands and our four grandchildren (ages 9, 7, 5 and 4). The location is a nice walk to the beach, or town. The kids enjoyed riding their bikes up to the beach. The home itself was very clean (except for the grill) and was well equipped. The rental management company was very accommodating. Easy check in and check out. We will definitely keep this house in mind if we vacation in Lewes again. One last note, we lost power four times during our stay, not weather related, I don't know if this is common in this part of Lewes.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Lovely home close to everything. Renting sheets is a bit of a pain, but seems to be somewhat standard with Berkshire Hathaway rentals.Our main complaint is the $2,000 deposit. Once you've paid it there is little way to dispute a charge. We were two families with young kids and we hauled out all of the sheets and trash and swept up the place. We were later told that we broke a glass shelf in the freezer. With crawling-aged kids this is something we would have certainly noticed and cleaned up, but instead were charged $90 for a new shelf. It isn't the end of the world, the house is nice, and I understand owners wanting to protect themselves from major damage. But charging us $90 for something we disputed seemed very petty given the price per night for the rental.
