L’appartement est uniquement destiné à la location, les matériaux de construction sont de qualité moyenne. Les fenêtres ne ferment pas à clé…on entend beaucoup la mer et l’aération de l’appartement (que l’on ne peut pas arrêter) : bruits de fond constants

Location was excellent, with amazing views. Comfortable stay with a nice bathroom and kitchen and facilities to do our own laundry was great. Along with a garage.

The pool wasn't heated.

The apartament was ideally located within short walking distance of the Main Street of the Old Town where most of the restaurants were located. The view from the windows was fantastic on all sides. The overflow swimming pool was great with a view over the ocean. Even though there was no space left for our car in the property we could use a car park nearby. The managing staff (via WhatsApp) were very responsive and rapid in addressing our queries.

I have just a few minor suggestions for even further improving the experience. The directions as to how to get into the flat could be a bit more explicit, especially if one arrives after dark. There are two apartments at the lower level so they could be marked by a number of something, to avoid trying to enter the already occupied one… like we did. The pool was great but it was often covered. It’s a bit my fault as I could have asked before the last day when I was informed that I can remove the automatic cover myself and how. Last very small comment concernes basic stuff like sugar, a couple of tablets for the washing machine and enough toilet paper for the stay… all very minor in the scope of things… but could have made a perfect stay even more perfect.

The location is simply perfect. Walking distance to everything you want to see in Funchal & next to a perfect bar/café for your coffee, breakfast & so on. The view from the apartment is overwhelming. It couldn't be any better.

You rent the apartment, don't expect the service of a hotel. We had terrible pillows, HR Madeira was not interested in the issue (we ended up buying our own pillows on vacation...). One window blind was missing, a 2nd one could only go half way down the window. Basically, some minor maintenance actions are lacking.
