Friendly owner. Clear instructions to access the property. Very comfortable apartment. St Paul’s location is good to see sights around the Island. Lovely sea view from balcony. Great Spar supermarket 3 mins walk. Lots of extras in the apartment.

The location is good. There are a lot of nice places to eat and good bars within a 5–10 minute walk. The property is equipped with basic items if you want to cook at home. The furniture is simple but practical. Everything is clean—no issues with that. The instructions on how to get to the property were clear and provided by the host on time. The apartment is on the 5th floor, but there is an elevator (although quite a small one), so you don’t need to use the stairs. Public transport works well once you get used to the concept of it and figure out the little nuisances in their public transport app.
Take a public bus ride to the Golden Bay if you want sandy beach as most of the nearby sea access is rocky.
A lot of construction work is happening on the nearby streets. It gets very noisy from 8 a.m. and throughout the day, but maybe that’s just an issue of the low-season period. There was only cold water in the kitchen — it looked like the hot-water supply pipe was simply turned off somewhere. But it wasn’t a big deal for us. Wi-Fi coverage in the apartment is quite poor — it’s OK in the dining room where the router is located, but on the opposite side of the apartment, down the corridor in the bedroom, the reception is non-existent, so no YouTube bedtime stories :D. And even if you have enough mobile data on your phone, the general internet speed and accessibility in Malta is somewhat below average and becomes very poor inside buildings.

There was a nice balcony with a bit of a view of the sea, and the location is good.
The apartment is on the top floor but the lift doesn’t go to the top, so you have to walk a bit which an elderly person may not like. Also the lights would switch off, meaning at night it could be dark and hard to see the steps.
Also the bathroom is very small and it is en suite, so you have to go through the bedroom to use the bathroom.
